I can't think of a good reason to not buy this. Even if you already own every single game, it makes a great gift. Whoever you give it to will be busy for months.

@NPTran23 or a few hours..depending on their tastes. No single game (outside of MMOs/sandbox games/multiplayer) will last a normal person more than a few weeks.

Of the games in Humble Indie Bundle 3, I find VVVVVV to be the only good one. Still, VVVVVV alone is worth paying above the average.

@Shadows

It really is superb. Gameplay, art, style, and soundtrack make for a grand ol' time.

I love VVVVVV so much. The soundtrack and the one hour remix soundtrack are absolutely incredible.

@INTRO I too loved the soundtrack in the game, but I have no idea how to use FLAC in iTunes. Are there any good, free converters for Mac?

Humble Bundle 4's been so much class that I'm tempted to buy another "just because".

Yes, this bundle is fantastic! You know, you can increase your donation amount if you really want to support them; you don't need to buy another bundle. Just follow the URL they emailed you after you bought the bundle and you should see the option near the top :)

I...am so happy. I missed out on HIB3.
Now I can get that VVVVVV level editor. (I had it (the games) originally from the Mac App Store) :D

Plus all those other games... AYIM has achieves in the Steam gift pile.

The average is currently just over 5 bucks... you should give more, but even if that's all you can afford, this is the gaming deal of the year.

@MayorMikeHaggar

I'd also like to point out that I was complaining about the price of the KOFXIII DLC on another story today, which is five bucks for a single downloadable character in one fighting game. This is five bucks for multiple full games consisting of hours and hours of gameplay, and their soundtracks, and it's supporting both independent developers and charity. If you can't squeeze together 5 or 10 bucks for these people, turn in your gamer card.

The only possible way this deal could get better is if they also provided sexual favors. Even then, we'd be hitting a point of diminishing returns...

Just played VVVVVV for the first (and second, and third, and fourth) time last week. What a refreshingly charming game (at least once I rigged gamepad support up to it.) I have a feeling I'm going to be going after my fifth, sixth, and seventh playthroughs before I get to any of the other titles in this package.

Already bought the last bundle back when it was out, but the VVVVVV soundtrack is definitely a nice bonus.

Once again, I reiterate my tinfoil hat theory that these bundles are a conspiracy by the hard drive manufacturers to load your drives up with boatloads of indie games so you have to go out and buy bigger drives....

@Vexorg well most indie games are smaller in size.
