I was going to pass on Costume Quest, but if I get Psychonauts with it for $2 extra, that's well worth it. Or I could just get Psychonauts for $2.50 by itself. Now that I think of it, I already got Costume Quest on PS3 for free as a PSN+ deal.

And what the hell was I thinking buying the Witcher 1 at full price ($10) two months ago? Argh...

I also love that DNF for $5 doesn't even warrant a mention in the story. I hope that was intentional...

Good price for Duke. Wasn't a great game but I enjoyed playing through it on my Xbox, even the multiplayer was quite fun for a short while.

The DLC is really good. It's what the main game should have been.

I was kinda hoping the new DLC would be on sale too, so I could pick that up on the cheap.

I disagree. So far, in the first two days, I've spent a grand total of $0.74. Not to mention that the promo completely sucks.

I would love Witcher 2, but no point buying it until there's a month free to play it. And that's definitely not right now.

And for what it's worth, Costume Quest is worth every penny of $3.75. I paid full!

That's how I feel about the Witcher 2 also. Plus if I wait until I have time to actually play it hopefully the price will go down a little bit by then.

@Oldtaku OMFG, its one of the best RPG's around. If its on the cheap buy it now and play it later. Or buy it now and play it now, play everything else later. Game of the Year in my opinion. Also, the withcer novels are amazing.

So far the Steam sale hasn't had much of interest for me. Hope that'll change though.

That's the same with any Steam sale. There's always a lot of redundancy as the same games come up at bargain prices, but this is an almost two week sale; you can't seriously expect every single bargain to be shown in the first two days.

Each day they have different games on sale, hopefully they have something you like before the year is over. I do agree nothing striked me the first day but today the Half Life Complete bundle got me to buy it. Plus most of the games they have for sale are games I already or bought a few days ago from those indie bundles.

MW2 is way overpriced for a game that has 2 sequels, if you're counting Black Ops.

Now if I had a computer that could play even Mass Effect 2 I'd be concerned over my wallet being dead from all of these amazing games I've been wanting to buy.
I don't know whether to be happy or depressed at that fact :P

So far I have:

3 coal and that 50% off valve coupon (which makes no sense, honestly. If you want a valve game, get it now.. its 50-75% off a valve game. lol) and I've done 3 achivements (Only had 3 of the games, didnt want any of the others)

I got 5, all coal+ 50% off Jamestown (which I got in Humble Indie Bundle a while back).
Ho well, this is what Xmas holidays are for eh, getting pointless achievements for virtual lumps of coal.

I'm not sure if the coupons stack on future discounts, but they (the normal ones at least) won't work throughout the duration of the holiday sale. If you read the fine print, they begin working on January 2nd.

As for the coal, I have two achievements (I know. I suck) and out of that I have two coal and one 50% off coupon.

I'm rocking two coal, a copy of Cogs (which I'm guessing everyone has due to HIB) and a 50% Valve coupon.

I got six games for $18, three cleared off my wishlist to make room for the more expensive ones.

I'm annoyed though that they took down the sidebar that gave a list of what *exactly* is on sale. Most of the stuff I bought today isn't listed as being on sale, but thankfully I was watching them already.

I am sad. I don't get a new rig until Christmas (present from wife, already picked out), and I doubt Valve will save anything good for after the 25th.

Yeah, just buy the games you want on your current computer (in browser on steampowered.com or in Steam itself) and they will be in your account to download whenever you please.

Everyone: The Witcher 2 is one of the best games ever made. It is the RPG of the year in my opinion. And yes, i have played Dark Souls and Skyrim, and the Witcher 2 is a better RPG than both IMO.

The first Witcher game, while not as impressive is still a fun play through. Go buy them while the price is dirt cheap.

So far, steam sale has been pissing me off. Several people (who are very vocal on the forums) are having problems buying stuff on the store. Keep getting "unknown errors". I bought a game and the game's page says I own it, but when I try to download it, it says the payment is still being processed. It's been almost 24 hours since I bought it, and I still can't download it.

@CountNoobula
I admit I want Witcher 2, but might have to wait until it is on 360, cuz I'm not sure my computer can handled it. But, if you search for it on E-Bay, you can get a Steam Download code cheaper than what Steam has it on sale for.

Witcher! I finally have it! and what a ridiculous deal! For 2.50 it cannot be beat. I want to pick up Witcher 2 but system specs put my GPU right at the minimum and I'm not exactly sure how well it runs up to my standards.
