Anomaly: Warzone Earth debuts on Kindle Fire, took one guy two weeks to port

That's right, you can download Anomaly: Warzone Earth on the Kindle Fire. If you've got an Android tablet sporting 2.3 or higher, it should also be compatible with your non-Kindle Fire thingamabob. All you need to do is install the Amazon App Store and cough up $3.99.

More impressive than Anomaly: Warzone Earth's debut on a yet another platform is how it made its way over to Android in the first place -- via one guy. It took 11 bit studios' lead programmer Bartosz Brzostek just two weeks (and a lot of coffee) to port the iOS version over to Android.

I really wanted to like this game but never got into it....

Yeah I'm kind of the same way, it was really cool at first. Really different idea, just seems like the same thing after a while though. And gets pretty difficult.

I picked it up at release on Steam. It was fun but got a bit difficult and I gave up on it. Gave it another shot yesterday, this time with a 360 controller. Makes a world of difference. I actually made some progress. :P The controller is the way to go.

I know it might make sense for developers to be exclusive to Amazon AppStore, but it makes me so Changry on a purely personal level. Problem with these 3rd-party stores is that the people outside US can't enjoy it legally. Pirating mobile content seems like stealing penny sweets or *cough* candy, from a shop, so I'll just hold out hope that it will make its way to the normal Marketplace.

Hi. Our game is not exclusive to Amazon. We're in preparations to make it available worldwide, hope to finalize it soon for all Android devices (aiming for 2.2 and higher)

I also bought this on release for PC but hadn't gotten around to it. Started it up last night for the winter sale achievement and had some fun, will definitely come back for more.

Cool, my wife just got me a Fire for xmas, looking for a good game to download besides Angry Birds.
