@Prince David I'm sure the makers of STALKER and The Witcher disagree with this.

On a device that costs between $200-500, some with additional network charges, which until recently also required the use of a computer which can cost between $100-5000.
Also electricity.

@Undulation

Sunk costs. Almost no one is buying an iOS device for this app. So for most people it is free.

This actually started as a jailbreak app. This version is missing the ability to sync with Wiimotes (probably for legal reasons), but it's otherwise identical. Very good emulator.

You can play it with buttons using the iControlPad ;)

@RodrigoCard

I wonder if the iCP controls would also allow a Wiimote to sync? Don't have one with me to try at the moment.

Good thing I legally own every Namco and Neo-Geo arcade cabinet ever made...yup...ever. No you can't look. Just trust me.

@SmashZilla

Me too. The second floor of my 4-car garage has ample room for those cabinets with double wide monitors too.

My builders were good about it after installing the car ramps I needed for my Porsche collection.

Currently it can't run any CPS2 games, I believe MvC was CPS3.

Thanks for the useful information... is it possible to run cpsystem 1 games? =) or could you please tell me which arcade systems are known to work on it?

I think it may be nerfed. When I start the app, it loads fine and I can see the available games.

But when I try to enter the Options screen in the app, it just bumps me back to the App Home screen. I'm not seeing any option yet how one manages roms.

@CaptainProtonX

The options menu comes up for me using an iPad. I think the ROM management is that way on purpose to avoid as much trouble as possible (though I think Apple will still yank it), but if you read he Gadget Lab link there are ways to add ROMs.

I forgot to mention I'm using an iPod Touch 4th Gen.

I'll check it on my iPad 2 later.

iCade is on clearance at Bed Bath and Beyond for $70-ish.

Don't ask how I know that.

You either robbed a Bed Bath & Beyond, or your life partner yanked you into one.

@benheckendorn I found it on cyber monday at best buy for $50. Hit it with a $25 coupon, and it's...well... about what it's actually worth.

Keep your eyes peeled. These are overpriced and will come down over the next few months.

How, exactly, COULD you legally acquire a ROM?

All I get is:

"Your request could not be completed.

The item you've requested is not currently available in the U.S. store."

Guess I'm late to the party, lame :(

Yup... I just checked and it appears to be gone now. Thankfully I already got it!
