Civilization Revolution, Pirates, 2K sports titles on sale on iOS

People have lots of free time with their iOS devices over the holidays -- a fact already recognized by EA and Sega. 2K has now joined the bandwagon, offering a holiday sale on several of its iOS titles. The deepest discounts have been applied to the iPhone and iPad versions of Civilization Revolution, which can be had for $0.99 or $1.99, respectively.

The publishers has also marked down Sid Meier's Pirates for the iPad, as well as both iPhone and iPad versions of NBA 2K12 and NHL 2K11. Check out all the discounts, which run until January 2, after the break.

Well that sure is interesting, I was just playing Civilization Revolution today...

To those of you who are curious 'bout it, civ revolution is basically a condensed version of the main games. Some say it's been dumbed down, and I can see why they might think that, but it's still a fun game and for under 2 bucks you can't really go wrong with it.

Now if you excuse me I'm gonna kick Gandhi's ass I tell you what

Pirates! is a fun but plot-light game that seems like it could fit the pick-up-put-down nature of phone titles, but I wonder how the thing would control on a touch-screen.

If I want to change my cannon shot type while turning into the wind and reefing the sails, I can do all that with the numpad on my keyboard, but on an iPhone?
