I never played this game but I feel like I've spent 100 hours reading about here on Joystiq.

Yeah I've never seen such a broken game get so much praise/fanfare ever. Still waiting for my PS3 patch btw, starting to think it's never coming.

I don't consider it broken. I play on PC, fine there outside the occasional CTD. My friends play it on PS3 and they have occasional glitches but not the other plagues people talk about. YMMV but the game is anything but broken. Just quite glitchy, but it's a freaking huge game.
They could have delayed the PS3 version but people would be raging, THEY CAN PATCH IT LATER!!! GIVE IT TO US NAO!!!!! ELEVEN!!!

Sure Skyrim has bugs. But they can easily be forgiven by the sheer mass of the world that they have created, and with the amount of stuff you can do. Games like Battlefield and Call of Duty of a set story line and follow a path. Games like that shouldn't have bugs since everyone's experience is practically the same. As with Skyrim, everyone's experience is different.

Nobody on earth would see this and know what it is, no matter how farmiliar with ES. I don't see the appeal, they should have made a lightdragon fight a lightgiant or something.

@Vic Fontaine or maybe you could put a recording and play it all day long with the lights :P

Don't need an apology man, I either need a fix or a refund.
Anyways, lesson learned: No more buying Bethesda products until thoroughly researching whether or not they actually function. It's a sad day when I have to look up whether a video game with so much hype will actually function.

Fair enough. Hell, I waited until patch 1.3 before I felt comfortable enought that it wasn't going to break my game; and I still wasn't all that comfortable. It is still a great game though.

I agree Vic Fontaine, i don't understand how skyrim could have won so many game of the year awards when it is a broken game on ps3.
Whether it works well on other systems or not, which i've heard complaints about drop in framerate and freezes on both other systems, so it isn't like it's flawless on the other two.
My brother also has it for ps3 and has played it ALOT more then i have, and the only problem he's had was occasional drop in framerate after long sessions, but the fact that some people can't even play it anymore due to too large of save files, you'd think that all of those websites/gaming journalism companies would have taken that into consideration before giving it game of the year.
Aside from the problems i've had with it, i'd rank it in the top 10 games of the year for me, but i definately wouldn't say it's game of the year.

I love this game, but I don't really see the point of using this music with christmas lights. Really starting to get sick of everyone referencing skyrim unnecessarily, it's like portal all over again.

Ugh fake. It's just a video of someone flicking the lights, finely remixed with the music placed on top of the video. What does Christmas or the light decorations have to do with Skyrim anyway?
