I really hope that the reason it's not finalized yet is that they're trying to get Nintendo to let them put a second analog on the 3DS itself.

This is coming from someone who already owns a 3DS. I don't want to carry around a stupid circle pad thingy just to play awesome games like Resident Evil and Metal Gear.

@bigwhiteyeti

So don't, it's not needed to play.

@DekuTree

No but once you go 2 sticks on games like those, it's hard to go back.

@bigwhiteyeti Hey, I've got an idea. Instead of adding another Circlepad, let's remove one. Why? Because we only have two thumbs! Stop the useless cluttering of controls because players won't grow additional limbs to use them.

@hotstew

By this logic, all controllers should have one button and one analog stick, but nothing else.

...seriously? Is it that hard to move your thumb 1.5 inches lower? They don't add buttons to clutter up space, they do it to give you additional control over the game. Ever tried playing an iOS game that was designed for a controller? (i.e. Dead Space) It just DOESN'T work well.

@bigwhiteyeti Yes, moving your thumb down 1.5 inches from the optimal position is a big deal. Ergonomics are a huge factor when you play for hours on end. And by my logic controllers would have one directional control (D-Pad or otherwise), four buttons mirroring the left thumb, and two triggers for the index fingers. Yes, those are the SNES controls and they work perfectly fine, the only problem was the form factor. Don't fix what ain't broke!

Fletcher, just stop it. I mean it. This ridiculous.
You post about the final fantasy limited edition psp and I bought it. You posted about the Pokemon white limited edition DS and I bought it. You posted about the Zelda limited edition 3DS and I bought.
It. You posted about the Gears of War 3 limited edition Xbox and I bought it.
Now you post about the Snake Eater 3DS and guess what? I'll probably f***ing buy that too.

I have no money left, I've resorted to eating whatever the hell is growing under my sink and it's giving me weird dreams...I can't do this anymore...Sob.....

Yeah, I need this.

I'm willing to pay absurd amounts in import fees to get it, since I wanted to import a 3DS anyway. Of course I'll have to preorder it as every other special edition 3DS has sold out before release.
