"Diplomatic immunity!"

"It's just been revoked!"

....... while I am not an ambassador, I certainly hope they update the ambassador versions of the games. Lest they need to start a second ambassador program to make up for managing to screw up the first ambassador program that they started because they screwed up the system launch.

I propose perhaps a three star general program?

By the time they finish with this, all the early system adopters will have functionally independent micronations that are all card carrying members of NATO.

What? Ambassadors got 10 pre-release NES games and 10 GBA games. The 10 NES games are then updated to how they are sold.

That's it. There is nothing else to it.

@Scuffles

The alignment of the word "ambassador" in your comment is magical.

@Special Agent Steve

We already do have them, just not with the multi-player and save states.

By Multiplayer, it doesn't mean it's adding some additional multiplayer mode to Super Mario Bros. right?

Wait, so real multiplayer and save states, not that "pass the 3DS over to the second player" and "save where you left off" crap?

What does multiplayer mean? Is this using the IR port or wifi?

Think about this for a second. Do you really think there's any chance in hell these titles support online multiplayer? Does this REALLY need to be answered?

do you think there's any chance that they'll add optional button configuration to these games? feels kind of wrong in the current set up- on every single one of these games.

Multiplayer will probably consist of passing your 3DS to your friend when he/she dies. (in-game) If they did a true update, the first person controls Mario or Luigi while the second person on their 3DS plays as the enemies. The person controlling the enemies would use a control scheme similar to Kirby Mass Attack as well as circle pad/d-pad and they can fling the enemies at Mario/Luigi and/or strategically place them on the map and if the second person succeeds in stopping Mario/Luigi, they switch sides within the game. It would be similar to Pacman Vs. where the person using the enemies see the entire stage while Mario/Luigi see only a fraction of the stage as they're going forward. And to make it somewhat fair for the person using the enemies, make it so that they can use more enemies whenever Mario/Luigi kills one. Hmm, maybe Nintendo can do a Wii U game like this.

Can someone explain to me the logic in these VC titles INCREASING in price? It's $5 on the wii. Yes I get it's a portable, but even so, charging more for an NES title 5 years later is pure asinine.

I have this in my Wii's VC library, I should be able to transfer it to my 3DS, and even share saves between the two, free of charge. This is making me think they will expect us to buy VC titles all over again on Wii U, and I don't like it. I'm not buying anymore, period, unti this is rectified.

@Vic Fontaine calm down. THey are screwing over JAPAN this time. They want to charge more because they want to make more profit in the homeland. Everything is more expensive in Japan anyway.

That being said the 3DS VC games do have better emulation than Wii games. I do agree with you 100% that it should be able to coordinate VC with Wii and 3DS downloads, that might happen at E3.

I doubt it. If they had any intention of letting us share our VC titles between systems they wouldn't be trying to resale them to us now. And they already are pulling crap in America, didn't they release a thrown together barely 3D version of Kirby on NES for $7?
