@Shockwave I don't recall that. I recall a lot of people complaining about it and not buying one, and the fans were content with the ports for a time. Then out came the Mario games and suddenly success.
Again, stiff competition. 3DS has no competition when it came out. The 3DS just released Monster Hunter, and the Vita held it's own. That's not too bad for a country obsessed with that IP.

The difference is that the Vita has a great launch lineup. Some really good games are already here, so why aren't people buying?
