The Binding of Isaac expands with 'The Wrath of the Lamb'
17
Tired of endlessly replaying Ed McMillen's latest title, The Binding of Isaac? You probably shouldn't be, as that's kind of the point, but there's an expansion on the way should that be the case. McMillen revealed the title of the update via Twitter, naming it "The Wrath of the Lamb," and offering roughly zero details about its content. He did note that he pulled the name from the Catholic Bible's Book of Revelations, and that "whoever wrote this part of the Bible has a profoundly epic imagination."
The only info we've got so far is that it'll cost $3 and will apparently feature a whole mess of new items (over 205), including something called "trinkets" that will passively buff your character. No specific release date is given either, but it's intended to launch at some point in 2012.

This game has totally taken over my free time. It's so insanely addictive and very unforgiving...it's like a randomly generated 2D Dark Souls, and I love it.

5 bucks for this game and I feel like I've got my money's worth 100 fold. 3 more dollars for an addon/DLC sounds like a great deal to me. Easily one of my top games of 2011.

Alright! I've put in about 25 hours (which seems to be on the low end around here, looks like) and it's still as fresh as it was the first time. I was playing with the menus and found the 'Things I've Discovered' screen - I've only uncovered about half of the pick-ups.
As a gamer who appreciates the idea of Dynasty Warrior and similar easy-as-hell, dumb-as-hell games, but I wish there was a mode in which I could activate a few power-ups (10 maybe?) and just go all-out in an endless dungeon. Every once in a while, if I'm lucky, I get an awesome combination (Snake shots and homing shots, for example), and I'd like to run around and experiment with what works.

I'm surprised and disappointed that this game didn't get more recognition in the goty games. Easily my most played game this year (yes even more than Skyrim)

Same here. I thought this would be on almost every top 10 list out there, but I barely even heard it mentioned. I've got about 30+ hrs into it, I've got about half of the trophies, and I'm no where even close to being tired of the game yet (finally ran into loki last night too!!! sorry, just happy...). It's great just to open up and try to do a quick run, and really never gets old (other then when I play as Eve, for some reason I never get anything w/ her and die a quick and horrible death). Honestly, I'd say it's tied w/ Skyrim and Bastion for my own GotY.

Finally got Golden God after about 85 hours played and thought I was finally done but it looks like it's dragging me back in.

I've bought I think 5 copies of this game so far, so DLC I support you. Seriously best purchase under $5 ever.

This is THE game that I play whenever I take my laptop anywhere.
It's taken over my gaming sessions like a disease. I can't get enough!
Using Xpadder with my Hori Fighting Commander 3 for hours of delightful fun. ^_^
