PAX East three-day passes have completely sold out, but single-day passes are still abundant -- for now. If you want to get your PAX East on this year, we suggest you register soon. Last year's PAX East had 69,500 attendees and was the biggest ever, so you'll have to have a strong stomach for crowds as well.
Don't forget to book a hotel too -- though if you're really dedicated, you'll just rent a VW van to sleep and eat in, and you can bathe in the Charles River (no you can't).

I actually ordered a 3 day pass this morning before church. Last year they went quick and this year I expected the same.

I live a short T ride away from PAX East but haven't gone the past two years. What am I missing? Long lines? Bad body odor? Questionable cosplay decisions?

Got mine yesterday after the "90% Sold..." post. Phew...tragedy averted.

Yes, you can, the Charles River is swimmable all but about eight days a year now. In a few more years it will be safe to swim any day of the year, it is no longer full of dirty water.

And we prefer that New Yorkers stay out of Boston too, so it works well for everyone.

But how is this still on? I thought Ocean Marketing's PR guy was going to call the Mayor of Boston.

I was putting off buying tickets, til I saw Gabe post about how they were 90% sold out on Friday. Glad I didn't risk it any further!
