Wish they'd just use the graphics/controls from OoT 3DS and copy/paste them to shoo out Majora's Mask 3DS faster.

Majora's Mask is $10 on the Wii. That's not a bad reward for doing a couple of surveys. I'll be downloading that for sure.

Yeah, I would be all over this if I didn't have the Zelda Collector's disc with Majora on it for the Gamecube (and totally playable on the Wii).

But I like the pick all the same. It indicates that Nintendo is fronting really quality titles for these VC picks.

Majora's Mask... that game.

I didn't play more than 10 minutes of it for like 9 years because of the 3 day thing.

Then I picked it up and realized there was a way to slow down time to extend the 3 days and I was sold. Top 2 of my favorite Zeldas. It was such a unique adventure!

I remember when I first played MM, I only realized I could slow down time about midway through the game. It felt like the most awesome "cheat" ever. I wish more games had implicit benefits that reward the player for exploration and discovery.

Put MM on 3DS VC and I'm sold.
It doesn't even need an update in graphics for me to buy it again.
Portable OoT and MM would have made my mind explode in 1998.

The controls would be next to impossible on the 3DS though. The only thing I can even think of doing is to map some of the C buttons to the touch screen. I can understand not being able to move over our N64 games for this reason but there's no damn excuse for having to rebuy NES/SNES games.

Wouldn't X, Y, L be the C buttons? Keep A, B as is with R locking on as usual? Am I missing something? It's possible...lol.

You realize the N64 control scheme was already mapped to the 3DS in OoT:3D, right?

@(Unverified) You also realize that Ocarina was a full remake that made use of the touch screen, right?

That would involve more work than a simple emulation could offer.

I was speaking strictly in a VC/emulation sense. Like Lionhart said OoT 3D was not just a simple port, it was totally remastered.

I fail to see the distinction with mapping between OoT and MM. It's been awhile since I've played MM, but I thought it has the same HUD and button mapping, except the clock on the bottom.

@King Johngie the Fourth I just love me some Kings. Man, bring on anything with a king. The kings and the things they create are amazing! I mean, we got Elvis (USA!), the invention of the "throne" (who knew we didn't have to use dirt holes?), and like rulership, man (pshh, who needs a democracy?). And don't forget the "King Who Likes To Knight His Subjects" sexy time move. It's kind of like yin-yanging (If you know what I mean ;) but everyone talks like someone is a king and bad romantic techno is playing in the background. And I'm pretty sure there's a moment where they try to revolt and kill you, but that just makes it even more sexy, right. So, what I'm trying to say is, KNIGHT ME UP.

I’d honestly much rather have the physical goodies, like the posters or the Game and Watch collections or the playing cards. This is still an awesome deal though, my friend will flip for free Majora’s Mask.

Agreed, but realistically that one is way too new. I'm surprised they released the Kirby GB game, I thought for sure it would be one of those early GB games they had when 3DS VC launched.

@JohnDM Actually, when they went live last night, it actually said "3D Classic Kirby's Dream Land" for a bit. :P They changed it quick, though. I was so disappointed that it was Dream Land (which I already own) and not Adventure, I bought Adventure anyway. :P

This is confusing...
Both Dr. Mario Online RX and Majora's Mask cost the same (1,000 Wii Points), but MM needs 50 more coins to redeem.

Dr. Mario Express has less content (it only has single-player) and costs less (500 DSi Points), but also takes more coins to redeem...
