Im really convinced Capcom doesnt care much for Megaman to be honest. They would have to pull something totally awesome like revive the canceled games to redeem themselves. on top of Megaman is the rehash copies of MVC3, Street Fighter and Dead Rising 2: west that nailed the coffin for me.

@KiDPANDA I don't understand how you can simultaneously complain about how Capcom's stopped making Mega Man games and how Capcom is whoring out their other franchises with constant releases. They put put like a million Mega Man games, why is it okay for them to whore out that franchise, but bad when they do the same thing to others? And how many Mega Man games do you need?

@TechnoSyndrome
Theres nothing wrong with making frachise games. but its an annoying problem when the games are being milked out in less than 6months apart.

SF4 iterations have been released in less than a year in between each version. Same with the Dead Rising and MVC3 games. the Megaman games are far and few in between each release.

everyone was pumped for Legends 3 and the MM Universe but those were dropped pretty much right after they were revealed...

That last question of yours is pretty irrelevant. But to answer your question I cant have enough MM games. The last compilations were back in 2004-2006 Anniversary and X Collections. MM9 and 10 are recent but are not remakes or milked out "updated" versions.

As long as a game franchise has a Fair enough sequel then i dont care how the series is milked. but when it comes to "update that could have been DLC" re-relased retail games than its a problem.

@PS1
Not with the iPhone port of Mega Man X, that's for sure. It's an insult to the original SNES title.

@PS1 The whole original series is basically the same, except maybe 1. You can start anywhere.

@PS1 Unless you're talking about Mega Man X, in which case the first one is on the Virtual Console. Good a place to start as any.

1-10 on iPad at 59p each, based on how they appeared in the original release of the game.

Megaman Generations, perhaps? Classic Megaman and X have to team up and fight the baddest of the robot masters/Mavericks?

We're celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Mega Man by showing additional images of the cancelled Mega Man Legends, Mega Man Universe, & the would be Mega Man character in Marvel VS Capcom 3.

Oh, and if this doesn't get you hyped up we have free wallpapers for download!

@Juri

Also, stay tuned, because on midnight of the eve of the 25th anniversary, we'll have special guest stars generic bro-ham fighters Ken and Ryu tea-bagging Mega Man and Zero!

Because we just shot the both of them in the head, they are dead. Mega Man is cancelled. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

As someone who is studying Graphic Design, I have to say: that anniversary logo looks horrible and uninspired.

Megaman deserves better... (and I'm not talking just about the logo)
I need my Megaman platforming fix. Where is ZXA's sequel?

Capcom is going to "celebrate" it by:

- Immediately discontinuing any still-shipping Mega Man titles (Zero Collection, ZX Advent, etc)

- Pulling all Mega Man games from Wii VC, Sony's PSN, Xbox Live Arcade, iOS App Store, etc.

- Buying all available used copies of Mega Man and Mega Man X Anniversary Editions on eBay, GameStop and Amazon and using them as coffee coasters.

- Buying all used copies of Mega Man cartridges and burying them next to Atari E.T.

- Mailing dog poop to Keiji Inafune's house.

Because Japanese care more about their stupid personal grunges (see: Nintendo vs Squaresoft before Yamauchi retired) than actually caring about their fans or being good businessmen.
