Vita shooter Unit 13 deploys on March 6

Unit 13, Zipper Interactive's pocket-purposed over-the-shoulder shooter, will be released for the Vita on March 6, 2012. This is in line with Zipper Interactive president Brian Soderberg's original prediction for a "right around Vita launch" release window; seeing as the Vita hits US shores on February 22, we suppose that's close enough to still count.

Zipper Interactive is, of course, best known for creating 1998's Top Gun: Hornet's Nest for Windows PC. It's also the studio responsible for 2010's MAG and the SOCOM series, which we're guessing probably factored into Unit 13's development more than any Tom Cruise-based development experience.

I'm so indecisive. I've yet to know whether I'll pick a Vita up at launch. I just...this is tough. It really is.

I hope there's 256-player mode over 3G that would be neato!

Those are, absolutely, some delicious contributing factors. Fingers crossed for Unit 13 to lie on the MAG portion of the quality spectrum, and Netflix is a great feature, especially when picturing its beauty on that luscious OLED screen.

From what I've read, you'll be getting a two player online co-op mode.

Yikes. That's a whole load of yuck. Maybe the gameplay is fitted and designed for two players?The relationship between the two? That'd be nice, but I'm not expecting anything like that.

if you live in Canada you can preorder the via bundle (wifi vita, case, 4 gig memory card and little deviants) for $300 and you get uncharted for free. That offer ends on the 12th though I think.

It's Bestbuy. You need to be a rewards zone member AND a Gamer's club member. It's not as complicated as it sounds. I did it.

Good for those who want to play a shooter on a handheld.

For me? Nope, no thanks. I'll keep the shooters on my PC.

Just hope Sony doesn't create the Vita into the PS3 Mobile. I really want the Vita and really really want some unique handheld-centric games on it.

Have you even looked at the games for this? Hell even this game is a unique Vita Experience....the tilt and touch features alone make this game different from a regular shooter

Yeah, I have seen it.

It just really doesn't interest me. Looks like a shooter I can get a similar experience on my PC, or even my PS3. A few Vita elements won't change that. =/

BTW as a person you speaks and reads arabic that is a horrible attempt at an arabic word. the letters are unconnected. like F L I G H T> sure you can read it but...

It does mean warning, but the lettering is way messed up. Not only are the letters not connected as they should be in arabic, but they've been flipped the wrong way. This is what it should look like: تحذير
