If I knew anyone that looked like that person in the picture, I would not hesitate to end my life...

@tchuks This would have been one of the best comments I've seen in a while, but the fact you wrote it twice ruined how awesome it could have been :/ Probably not your fault though. Probably didn't show up when you clicked sumbit so you typed it again. It's happened to me

@SonyPS
The Joystiq comment system eats balls. Even Ludwig thinks so. Why we're all still picking at each other over something beyond our control puzzles me...

Was hoping for something a little more "original". These have been on - several - previous rhythm games. If this keeps up I'm only going to be paying attention to the RBN releases :P

"I feel the raisinetes leaving me, no not again. . ."

Yeah, Korn had some very odd lyrics.

While I am glad to hear that Harmonix is still supporting Rock Band by releasing new songs, they're getting, to myself at least, unappealing. I feel as though it's a missed opportunity now that they finally have a keyboard peripheral but don't really have a lot of songs that use it. I would like to see some more Children of Bodom, Alestorm and maybe some Nightwish in the future, even though the latter is a little niche here in the states. It's still nice to see that they've got some diversity, though. I was surprised to see an Eifel 65 song in the downloads. That's just my two cents. Nonetheless, there are already a couple thousand songs to occupy oneself already.

@Churrotastic At this point, I feel like most people who don't like the continued DLC tend to be metal fans. In your case, I'm not sure if it's because you like those particular groups or because you're looking for something more challenging, along the lines of what Guitar Hero used to have.

If it's the style: Rock Band Network is loaded with insanely hard metal songs. That's been a boon for people who are looking for another step up.

If it's those particular bands: yeah that kinda sucks. :(

I've been pretty satisfied with the ongoing DLC stream because there's been a little something for everybody. I agree that I wish there would be more songs that took advantage of keys and vocal harmonies -- but more than that, I kinda wish they'd take advantage of the content slowdown and update some of the older songs! Carry On Wayward Son would be a blast with either.

Pretty good week to me. Can Korn be lame? Certainly. But even if only for the sake of nostalgia, those are two of their better songs. And the Edgar Winter tracks are just good all around.

@Once known as Shadsy Yeah lol you're pretty much right. I am a metal fan and my credit card is well aware of the plethora of metal songs as dlc. Those previously mentioned are my top favorite bands so that's why I listed those (It irks me still that Guitar Hero got more Bodom dlc) but I agree that it's nice that there's something for everybody.

I hate Korn.

Now that I've got my opinion out of the way....

I really wish we could get some 311 tunes for Rock Band.
Vocal harmonies, awesome guitar and base, and insane drums. They did Beautiful Disaster in Rock Band World Tour, but that game sucked donkey treats big time.

I was stoked when Alien Ant Farm decided to jump on board and release ANThology, but they've only released 3 songs in 6 months...

So overall, the DLC is plentious, but not typically satisfactory for anyone with particular music tastes.

I guess what happened there is they quickly realized no one remembered or cared about Alien Ant Farm beyond Smooth Criminal. A shame, really; ANThology was one of the defining albums of my youth. Not a classic, but solid.
