Why am I paying more for this DLC on PC?, or why would I pay more for this in the event someone can justify it?

Baffling.

Leave it to a tin pot island dictator to put a shuttle launch, an explosive force so powerful that a few miles of buffer are required to avoid casualties, right next to a public road.

I'm putting mine next to the elementary school.

I miss the good old days of proper expansion packs. 95% of DLC simply does not live up to the glory that a good expansion used to represent back in the day. I hear Bethesda is bringing proper expansion pack back with Skyrim. I hope so. I really wish console gaming would move more away from the nickel & dime mentality of milking gamers with DLC, and get back to the roots of making proper expansion packs for games.

Any way, I'll definitely will be looking to pick up this expansion for Tropico 4.

@Tachyonic Cargo That can't happen until people stop letting themselves get nickel & dimed from their consoles (360).

That's absolutely true, personally i feel the last real expansion packs were before this generation of consoles. Back when C&C Generals: Zero Hour and Rainbow Six: Athena Shield were practically another game. Slew of units, maps, even updated interfaces. I wish humanity good luck. Because I can't see us going back unless people start hating money.

Is this game any good? I almost bought it on sale during the holidays but ended up holding back on this title.

@The angry pro consumer gaming ga It's good. And it's still $15 from amazon. I paid full for it so i'm hoping the expansion will drop in price fast so I can make up lost ground.

I like it, it's a great game. I got it from OnLive a while back, partly because it was on sale, and partly because when ___________ finally updates it with native touch controls (you know, pinch to zoom, and the like), this will be the perfect game to play all the time, whether I am at home, or away from home.

I have no idea if a demo (whether on PC, or on Xbox LIVE) exists for Tropico 4, but if you are curious trying looking for one. And if you cannot find one, you can always try it out for free from OnLive. They give you 30 minutes of free play time on any game. Which in the case of Tropico 4, is enough to get through most of the tutorial levels. And if you don't complete those tutorials in a single, 30-minute play-thru, then just start over on a new one, select the tutorials you missed, and continue for another 30 minutes until you pass them all. By the time you complete all four tutorial missions, you will have a very good idea whether Tropico 4 is a game for you, or not.

I heart Tropico 4! Sounds more ambitious than 3's Absolute Power expansion. I'm all for this!
