Between iOS and Android versions, Mojang is selling around 5,000 copies per day, which is a pretty amazing feat considering the game costs $6.99 and has no crafting or survival elements. Well, not yet, anyway.

You sound like a jelly iPhone user. No, it is far from the most expensive game I've paid for on Android, and it's even farther from the most expensive app.

Its decent at best on my Xperia Play. Cant even fathom it on a pure touch screen device. I could it being pretty good on a Vita if it utilized all of the Vitas controls

To be fair, the Android version was $0.10 briefly.

I bought it for the 6ish bucks, knowing it'll improve down the road (you know, 'cause it says alpha in the top right), and they'll need my money to make it happen.

700,000 sales, 700,000 disappointed people thinking 'why is minecraft so popular? Because this is boring as hell.'
Good luck to Notch for pulling off the con of the century.

Mojang obviously wants to take PE in a slightly different direction than its desktop counterpart. They put out the alpha before Minecraft itself was finished, but it wasn't their top priority. I don't know why people expected the same experience when it's in alpha.

I got it only because it was ten cents during googles big sale. I would say a huge portion of the numbers came from that time frame.

Its slightly encouraging that theyre still making an effort to add features to the mobile version when it sold well enough for them to say "who cares? we made money b1tch!". MONEY!!!
