I literally need to go to the skyrim wiki everytime I star a quest just to make sure that there are not any game breaking bus or if there are how to overcome them. That's how buged this game is.

@Pipera I put a little over 200 hours into Skyrim since release and I have yet to encounter anything game breaking. I don't know how you enjoy the game like that.

I find that hard to believe. People like you complaining the whole game is broken. Totally BS. I've been playing for a month now and the ONLY thing that happened to me was my Xbox froze twice. That's nothing! Admittedly I don't play as much as other. But come on.

He exaggerates of course.
But tbh...I played over already 145 hours and encountered numerous quest bugs (mostly just in miscellaneous quests though) myself. I couldn't finish the quest, I couldn't remove the quest item, a dialouge option was missing, unintented orders of doing "Bring-this-and-that" quests can break them an so on...

Certain web sites and also the Skyrim wiki were quite helpful. Good thing, that you have console commands in the PC version, so most problems can be fixed by that.

But it's not like the whole game doesn't work and is filled with bugs. That's definitely not the case.

@Pipera i am exactly the same and why did everyone downvote him? it's the truth, the bugs are so bad in skyrim you have to be very careful which quest you attempt because it ends up breaking your game.

@Gonz0hunter My wife played 150 hours and hit a quest bug that will not allow her to continue in the game. She called Bethesda, they know about it but cant say if it will be fixed. Its highly disappointing. Shes not a big gamer but when something like this happens to someone getting heavily into gaming it quickly turns them off.

I've put in about 200 hours as well, and while I haven't run into anything "game breaking," I've run into a good 90% of what's listed on this update.

It adds up over time, and while I'll still love the game I'm dubious of their development/testing/qa process. I mean, look at that list. It's not a bunch of obscure, rare bugs, most of them have a significant impact on how the game is played.

I was wandering through a random village (I forget the name, they all start to look alike after 100 hours) last night in Skyrim and found a group of completely identical villagers stood together. There must have been 5 or 6 of them, all with the same name and spouting the same NPC random dialogue.

My character has also had no head for the past 60 hours of play.

I've got the head issue too. Happens every time with this formula

Robes you get at end of Mage Guild + Dragon Priest Mask = Headless, hooded character.

I don't mind, tho, as it's one of the fun bugs. Kinda reminds me of those ring seekers out of Lord of the Rings.

@moroboshi let me guess, your character was wearing the arch mage robes with a dragon priest mask. Happened to me and I just kinda ignored it because I usually play in first person mode anyway. I put on my role-playing hat and imaged that I was a Nazgul (what with the hood and all)....

I've got one where there's 2 identical guys just outside Whiterun by the stables, standing next to a 3rd clone that is just the upper torso. 2 clones and a half-clone. It's the weirdest thing.

Because SS doesn't have "fast travel" so he's gotta do something while going back and forth on mindless fetch quests.

Now to fix the biggest issue: the game is laughably easy on Master with the right equipment and perks. Dragons become little more than flies; most foes die within seconds of entering combat.

If it's too easy, play it differently. After 120 or so hours of relying on sword, shield, heavy armor, and tough companions, I dumped everything and did like 3 quests just using magic and whatever random stuff I looted from corpses and chests. It was a lot of fun going outside of my comfort zone and ratcheted the tension way up.

The same thing was happening to me, so what I did was drop all my armor and only take one weapon into a dungeon where I played survival and grabbing anything that'd help me. Definatly one of the more intense things I've done in game

Whoo, I can finally start Blood on the Ice with my main character? Awesome! Keep the patches coming as long as they don't fix hilarious bugs like the one time I approached a giant camp and it started raining mammoths (only 2 of them though) which died as soon as they hit the ground.
What still needs addressing though is disappearing NPCs. After doing the Dark Brotherhood quest in Solitude the Jarl and Commander of the legion went missing for me on two individual playthroughs. Quests pointing to them now point to the center of Skyrim's overworld leaving me unable to complete them. Also if that happens before you fnish the Bard College, the quest where you perform in front of the jarl also gets stuck.

Only question is I placed the ring on the guy that you were supposed to and I don't know if he still has it anymore. Will that be a problem?

Very happy to hear about Blood On The Ice is getting fixed. It's one of the more amusing quests, but mine is horribly broken due to a certain quest person being warped to a unused NPCs cell of some sort.

Holy crap! There's a fix list if even I saw one. And this was GOTY? Granted maybe overall With Skyrim is gameplay is larger than the issues, but thats a tall list or issues. I am beginning to wonder if devs are taking on too much when it comes to immersive projects and meeting deadlines and relying on patches after the fact. I think this is a good example.

Hope this makes the game that much more better to play.

Regardless I want to play this game eventually but I will wait for a GOTY Edition with all the patches and dlc in one package. I am glad they took to trying to fix issues this time round compared to Fallout 3 (for the PS3).

Best bug I found was a fellow and what I thought was his leg-less identical twin outside Whiterun just standing around. It seems one had clipped into the scenery, but at first I thought it was some game-feature and not a bug. You know, "The twin with no legs!" or something. Maybe everyone who gets mad about bugs should do what I accidentally did, try and think of a funny reason it could actually happen in the game and just carry on having fun!

@thatlameguy my favorite was either the guy who died without the dying animation so that I could loot his corpse while he was standing up in the default idle position....

or the time that I met Olda in Dragonbridge and she spawned without any clothes.......
