There definitely r game breaking bugs I'm at a point in the thieves guild where I can't progress. I was told to talk to maven black briar but when I talk to here she won't talk back to me. Plus she wasn't even a quest marker. Please fix this

I can't imagine how you bug test a game as broad as Fallout3/NV or Skyrim. In all of my hours of playing Skyrim, I haven't come across any of the bugs listed here but apparently someone somewhere found just the right circumstances for these obscure bugs to appear. Skyrim is definitely more solid than Fallout 3/NV. In Fallout 3, the game would regularly crash to the point that I was pressing the quicksave key almost as often as I was pressing the fire button. I found that NV was somewhat better in that most of my problems where related to quests and not as many crashed the game. So far in Skyrim, I have had hardly any issues with crashing and only a few minor quest bugs or graphical glitches.

I was fortunate enough to be asked by Volition to play test one of their upcoming releases (under penalty of litigation, I am not allowed to say what) but most of what I ended up doing during my afternoon at their studios was bug testing and only a little was actual critic of the game itself. Bug testing in that title seemed much more straight forward compared to what it would take in something like Skyrim, where no two players have the same experience.

Even looking past the bad stuff in the game, it was very good. Sadly after I finished the game, I couldn't pick it back up, the problems ruined it for me.

I like how people complaining about bugs are getting downvoted. Like we can't admit there's problems in the game, even in a post about a patch fixing numerous problems in said game.

@Altairio

Well, the reviewers gave the game a free pass, I guess we're expected to as well.

THANK YOU Bethesda!

I counted atleast 6 of those fixes that I've unpleasantly encountered.

But why do I still have that Lute in my inventory even though I turned it in to the Bards College (and got several skill points along with reward)??? Won't let me get rid of it! Quest is done.

I can't even enter the island where last amulet fragment is for Forbidden Legned. It locks up. Every time. I moved on...

If iI (can't) finish most of the main game and quests come ME3, this is getting shelved...

So they're still not fixing the Companions?

I can't complete their questline because the entire group got stuck after a quest and refused to talk to me. The group inside now talks to me after assaulting one of them and yielding, but the Huntress (who apparently gives me a required quest) will not engage in dialogue at all, and she's stuck outside of the hall.

Oh, and fixing my Whiterun house so I can display weapons is nice, although I have the Windhelm one now, which works (but I can't clean out that room).

And while we're at it, can you remove my quest items? I'm still stuck with 5 witch heads, an Elder Scroll, Gallus' encoded journal and about 4 other items to the tune of about 60-80 pounds of inventory space, despite the fact that I've finished all the quests related to those items.

I suppose for 100 hours though, one game breaker is mildly forgivable. Though I don't believe I've done some of the quests noted here.

Excited for a build with optimizations enabled, that should mean an fps-increase for everyone!

It was, uh, negligent of them to now have them enabled in the first place. This is not CS 101 class, guys...

@Lucky48 i experience the same, when you press R1 it takes around 6 seconds before the weapon comes out and the enemy is happily hacking and slashing at you and there is not much you can do about it, or the fact that everytime you choose a dialogue option i have to press X twice because the button press doesn't register properly when you do press X, i doubt small things like that will ever get fixed be here's to hoping.

I haven't really experienced many crazy bugs in this game. I'm bewildered by some of the things I read or see on youtube. It's like I got a different game. I'm "only" 90 hours in though.

PC version on a fast, stable modern computer.

After finishing "Promises to Keep" the guy whom I acquired Frost for is permanently stuck halfway in the ground outside of Whiterun, I can walk by and talk to him, he just stays there, buried in the ground up to his chest. I also had the same issues with "Onmund's Request" but a persuassion skill of 70 or higher will allow you to complete the mission without giving Enthir the staff.

OHHH. I thought i was SUPPOSED to just throw my items into these cases and hope they align themselves correctly.

I'm totally excited about the Steam Workshop addition. As someone who has mixed results with mods, I really do hope for a day where I can just click "install" and a mod just works.

I haven't even bought Skyrim yet, hoping there's a sale that goes with this thing.

Oh cool. I've been noticing the recently Skyrim's been freezing on me after extended hours of play for the last few days (Thank god I have auto save set for every 5 mins). I hope they fix some quest items not removing from your inventory after finishing the quest, like the Hermaeus Mora quest or the Bard quest where I have to get this chick's flute back. I'm sort of a stickler for those sorts of things.

That and there's an annoying glitch for Aftershock where the portal thing won't show up, making the quest impossible to complete.

I have no problem accepting bugs that have to do with Skyrim's sheer complexity, such as minor bugs in quests and NPC behaviour, etc., but things like mouse support in menu's on the PC version being overtly broken and sound output being way too low, well... When obvious and annoying things like that are not immediately fixed, then it reeks of either slack, or simply poor prioritization. Damn fine game, but man... The failure to address immediately apparent issues within a reasonable timeframe seems to be a Bethesda thing, and reminds me a lot of Fallout 3.
