Your team might go the Super Bowl, so I consider that a good trade off.

Why the hell make a game and NOT release it in its primary target area? This is beyond stupid.

So basically, This game will be available everywhere except the regions in which it would be most popular.

That's goooooood marketing.

Sadly, it's not a joke--joystiq is quoting the press release.

Unless they meant it as a joke in the press release? It's so hard to tell if people are being funny or if they're just idiots.

So as far as Deep Silver is concerned, Canada and Mexico are no longer part of North America. Heh. Ah well, I can see how they'd be confused with Canadians and Mexicans all tucked away down there.

Are the people who wrote this press release aware that Canada and Mexico are part of North America? Did they mean to say "United States, Canada, and Mexico" perhaps?

That still is a little ambiguous, as continentally, Central America is also part of North America. It's not a proper continent on its own. So I guess El Salvador will get this in February?

I don't like Disqus all that much. You can't downvote people to make them feel bad when they make bad posts. It's not free of glitches, either.

I agree, I do enjoy downvoting (and plan on crying myself to sleep tonight because my previous comment was downvoted).

But I can't get any comments to post in real-time anymore, and replies are basically a crapshoot of hoping it gets up under the right comment. *crosses fingers*

Disqus isn't my favorite, but I've had far more success with it than with Joystiq's system as of recent.

So it's only based off the fecal matter that was Star Trek prior to The Next Generation? Not interested.

Also you don't need to say North America and Canada because Canada is part of North America.

I've been tempted by this game since I got a load of MSP for Xmas. I played the trial and it's pretty good. Better than some other WWTBAM games I've seen. And who doesn't like trivia games?

For once, I'm glad I'm in Europe. Though I'm sorry it's not available to everyone who's a fan of Star Trek. I'm not a "Trekker" by the way, I'm barely a Trekkie... Just a general Sci Fi geek. I'd love BioWare/EA to strike a deal for a Mass Effect pack for WWTBAM. That would be amazing.

Wasn't WWTBAM a British show first, anyway? Just like The Weakest Link, Whose Line Is It Anyway?, or American Idol (well, technically it was "Pop Idol", but still, it came first)?

@Shadow Hog Countless formats are British imports, and oftentimes the Brits manage to do it much much better because, y'know, they created the damn things. Personally I think Whose Line US is better, but the UK version is still good.
As far as WWTBAM, the British version stayed where it needed to longer than the US version did. Of course, ABC was dumb enough to play it multiple times a week and burn it the hell out. The syndicated version isn't bad, but it's still not as good as classic format, primetime Millionaire.
