At this point I've given up hope that The Consul's Car case will be released on the 360 like Rockstar said they would do.

I always seem to be the only person that didn't really like Bastion. The gameplay seemed really mediocre. The narrator was a neat trick, but it was just window dressing for a very average game, IMO.

I think the allure of Bastion was the overall package. The art style was beautiful, the numerous weapons and tonics kept the gameplay varied, and the narrator was a unique addition that made the whole thing like a playable storybook. My only real complaint was the load times.

Nope I agree with you. I tried the demo and liked the narrator's gravely voice, but the gameplay itself didn't do anything for me. I could see myself picking it up on Steam for one of their crazy cheap end of the year deals, but the xbox will never see it cheap enough for me.

I was hoping something like Trine 2 went on sale, but Microsoft seem pretty content with putting Bastion on sale constantly.

Given that this is the second time Bastion has been discounted, I don't know if "constantly" applies. Though it does seem like a lot of deals recently have repeated deals that have happened within just the last 60 days or so, which is troubling or very fortunate, depending on who you are or what you expect. I'm somewhere in the middle, already owning the L.A. Noire season pass courtesy of a sale but not being able to score on the previous Bastion sale.

Sweet, i missed the bastion deal last time... a question though.. for you JC.. or whoever posts the deals... why are these always backwards? PSN updates today, yet you post XBLA today, and XBLA updates tomorrow, but you post PSN tomorrow... Am I just not getting the joke?

Man, I hope they discount the DLC for LA Noire on PS3 sometime. I recenlty got a PS3 and so I'm not familiar with how often they discount stuff, like I am with Microsoft.

Simple answer.
Major Nelson posts Xbox updates early Tuesday morning for the coming weeks, so they can report on them Tuesday.
PS Blog doesn't post their update til late Tuesday, and they usually don't get around to reporting it til Wednesday.

PSN sales aren't any worse than XBLA ones. I would at least wait for today's store update to see if the DLC goes on sale before you buy it.

An LA Noire DLC pack for that dancing game would be nice. You could just stand in front of a rainy window, bonus points for having a slow moving fan.

Can anyone speak to the LA Noire DLC? I enjoyed LA Noire, but the DLC would have to be fantastic for me to pony up for it.
