UFC Undisputed 3 demo on Xbox now, PS3 today

Is UFC Undisputed 3 worth your time? There's a simple way to settle that dispute: by downloading the free demo, available now on Xbox Live and later today on PSN.

The demo allows you to experience "a fantasy UFC matchup between current UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and current UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva," along with a "classic" PRIDE Mode match between Quinton "Rampage" Jackson (otherwise known as B.A. Baracus from the recent A-Team movie) and Wanderlei Silva.

If Undisputed turns out to be a "fantasy matchup" with you, you can get the full version on February 14.

(NASDAQ: THQI) and the Ultimate Fighting Championship(R) organization today announced the UFC(R) Undisputed(TM) 3 playable demo is now available for free download via Xbox LIVE(R) Marketplace for the Xbox 360(R) video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, as well as PlayStation(R)Network for the PlayStation(R)3 computer entertainment system. Consumers will explore a fantasy UFC matchup between current UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and current UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva. In addition, they will relive a classic PRIDE(R) Mode rivalry between renowned UFC fighters and former champions Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Wanderlei Silva. The playable demo will also offer mirror matches, enabling consumers to play against friends or opponent AI as the same fighter, in the ultimate test of skill. UFC Undisputed 3 is currently scheduled for release on February 14, 2012 for Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 system.

Well...this is REAL world fighting.

Shockingly, you can't do hurling pile drivers 10 feet in the air, or throw 1000 kicks to the chest in 10 seconds.

Our perception of fighting is slightly sckewed by 20 years of fireballs.

Do you to see boxing or WE wrestling as real fighting?

You can fight however you want to in this sport to win it. Punch, kick, knee, head-butt, grapple, submission hold or whatever else you can think of. The only more real you can get is if you see two un-trained drunken @sses getting into a bar fight. And that is not high quality competition there.

Boxing is real fighting too. I prefer boxing to MMA, but that's just personal preference.

Most of the time, people in boxing are hitting the snot out of each other, which I like to see. Whereas MMA can be a toss up between a great fight and a total grinding snore fest.

Sometimes a boxing match can be that too, though.

I do understand your meaning though.

MMA is pretty much as close to a real, no-holds-barred brawl that you can get.

Especially in it's early days. Goddamn. 20 shots to the nuts for the win!

@Mal F4cti0n Do you watch MMA? You can't head butt and there are a number of other rules like you cant kick/knee someone in the head while they are down, and you cant punch to the back of the head, and you can't just strangle someone with your hands. It's not like the UFC of old, where a guy actually tapped out due to groin strikes (it was the guy who played oddjob in austin powers haha) .

To the first commenter, if you don't get it, that's cool. Everyone has their own personal preferences. But, try to keep the insulting gay innuendos to yourself as I'm pretty sure any MMA fighter even in the womens divisions could probably kick your ass.

Im not a fan of UFC at all, but I am able to see the obvious. These are the best fighters in the world.

i loved 2009, 2010 was a total disappointment. I dont think this one will be any different.

Its just a money maker, to hell with what the fans wanted in the game.

There actually has been more development time given to this compared to 2010,i like yu was disappointed in 2010 but im still holding out hope for U3.

If they have improved the online where you can actually get into a fight and perhaps even have that fight not be laggy as all hell that would be a huge step in the right direction.Also an improved ground game woul dbe nice to where its not a guessing game to defend subs.
