@This Little Man Says His Name Is

I'm sure they'll be able to use their past expertise on how to cheat folks out of their money this go round.

@This Little Man Says His Name Is

Took the words right out of my mouth... I realize they're "considering" this but the fact they haven't already jumped on this much earlier (ie before their IPO) reflects the poor management of this company. They remind me of the sort of company that existed in the late 90s, early 00s... When that bubble bursts and people don't want to play Farmville anymore, there's going to be a lot of sad, lonely people...

The only thing Zynga needs to learn about poker is when to fold 'em. Clearly they have not learned this lesson yet.

Mixing kid-friendly games with gambling... Reminds me of Ted E. Bear's Mafia Free Playland and Casino.

"N-O-M-A-F-I-A
Oh baby!

Welcome, welcome, generous friends
Days and weeks and tokens to spend
We're just regular business men
Just you and me an' Ted E. Bear

Ted E. Bear's is oodles of fun
Slots and sandwiches and poker and guns
And look: no mobsters--nary a one
With you and me an' Ted E. Bear."

I wish online poker gambling was still allowed in the US. I miss playing at the $0.10 tables from the comfort of my own home.

I'm from America, and sadly gambling from home isn't a freedom we have. Every good online poker game that you could actually spend/make real money on has been shut down, or blocked by the FBI. Unfortunately if I want to gamble i'd have to drive an hour, and a half up the road to Foxwoods, or Mohegan Sun.

What I don't understand is all these countries that don't have "freedom" can gamble online - WTF?!

I've been lied to all my life...

And if this gamble doesn't pay off, there's always pornography!

@baby sea tuna I get it, because gambling and pornography are both evil, terrible things. Right?

@kalmis

No, but games that a majority of readers are aware of. Joystiq has to put up an article every 20 minutes or so, so they can't all be megatons.

Do they realize that online gambling in the US, where most of their clients are probably from, has been illegal since 2006????

@Lordd G

There's probably some loophole they're planning to exploit. I'm not much of a gambler, but I'd bet that you have to buy "items" to bet, and winning will get you the same type of stupid crap you "gift" people on Farmville.
