@Uncle Jesse

I am going to call it. 600 for the player and 200 for the game. :)

Always wanted a neo geo but damn were they expensive!

I used to own a NGP color and it was just awesome. Loved my gamboy but the dpad/stick was just amazing on that thing. Sonic Pocket adventure and Match of the millenium where fantastic games.

This thing looks pretty cool. Now if only I could make calls from it....

It feels off that someone who clearly enjoys 2D gaming and the digital input methods that let them shine would not know of SNK's glorious mini-joystick.

@VampireEater Yes neo geo games are on psp but have you ever wonder why thoes same games are 8 bucks a POP on Wii and cheeper on the other consoles. Because the Wii has a more accurate versions of thoes games. So it would be better playing them on an offical neo geo product.

@kenjetsu wrong. The Wii versions are no more accurate than any of the numerous Neo-Geo emulators out there, including on PSP (official PSN versions included).

@Styli

I retract that, even though it does resemble the iPhone 4 somewhat. There's a lot of pics. So I reckon it's real or a physical fake mock-up. I guess we'll have to wait for SNK to reply.

Aren't there already like ten different versions of SNK collections out there over various gaming platforms? Not sure why we'd need dedicated hardware.

I would love that! Even if they only re-release old SNK games. I mean these still rock. Just worried how you would actually get these games onto the device. I see an SD slot and a mini USB port, but I assume these are for obligatory media player functionality..?

Sorry for doubleposting (edit button, where art thou?)

I just realized that this device's screen is widescreen while NeoGeo games are displayed at 4:3. So if this is real, we'll have black bars or stretched images, right?

If true, this is like coming late to an early 90s party in 2010. That hair, acid wash tight jeans and awesome tude' isn't going to work out very well.

Sure, people will look at you, talk to you for the novelty but many couldn't help but think you'd be cooler if you came to the party on time in the first place...

@Xiegfried Same for me. I saw this and thought "Huh, looks like a Dingoo with a joystick." I already have one, and the latest model, the a380, emulates Neo Geo games pretty well (as well as other old gen consoles and handhelds) and it's only like a little over $100. The only catch is you gotta order it from China if you buy it from the official site, but even then...not a big deal.

The images look like mash-ups of different devices on an iPhone 4 frame.

Not buying it until someone has the device in hand playing it.

Look at the engadget pictures of the device. If it was photo shopped would they go through all the trouble to put air bubbles in the plastic that you peel off the matchine when you buy it.
