Is it me, or does it have a sort of Borderlands look to it?

@CHEF BOYaR G Borderlands didn't invent cell shading. They did the art style to make it seem more like outta the comic ook

@Doctalen Not only did they not invent it, they aren't even using it. Borderlands isn't cell shaded, it just uses comic like textures. That is something entirely different.

Pretty weak trailer for a really sweet game.

People should actually buy this one. I remember the first one hit the $5 used bin so fast that it was sad.

This game and Dark Sector were awesome, and they cost like $3 a piece!

@ovoon

The first one looked and felt generic. This one has a bit of flare, will certainly pick it up.

@ovoon

Ditto on both this and Dark Sector. Some really great times early on this gen.

I actually dabbled around with making some fan trailers for the games. Never finished the Darkness one but did one for Dark Sector: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IY1JSnW2zhk

@Anticrawl

i don't know if you can say it looked generic. did you get to the insane WWI segments? sure, you could tell it was a Starbreeze game, but that was a good thing back then. now, not so much.

I felt they got the shooting tight. Darkness 1 was looser than a porn star!

i found the first one 2 busy , and what i mean buy that is i felt there was to much to focus on at once between the guns and the darkness things seemed like there was to much going on for the controller. seemed more of an ideal game for a pc any way , that being said i didn't invest to much time with it which im regretting now but i may pick it up if i see it used some were. i am really looking forward to trying this one though. does any on know if they ever did port the first game to pc

The first one was so much fun, and I'm so glad this sequel is finally coming out. I was consistently scared it would suddenly get canned.

Never played the first, but tried the demo for the Darkness 2 on the 360. I actually quite enjoyed it. This trailer makes me want the game even more, maybe not as a Day 1 purchase, but it is definitely on my wishlist.

I remember playing the demo for the first game way back and never really cared for it, but the demo for this game seems leaps and bounds better than the first. I just hate jumping into a story without having experienced the first one for myself.

@The Tim

then go experience the first one. it's super cheap, and actually worth it. i had the same problem getting into the game, but once i actually sat down and played it for more than 10 minutes i got hooked. plus, it's got a pretty good story for an FPS.

This game looks to be good. I don't think the trailer portrays the aesthetic of the game that well but it's a decent trailer. Can't wait for this game.

Played the demo and was surprised at how similar the sequel was to the original (a good thing). I swear the subway even had the same layout, same garbage cans, graffiti, everything. Looking forward to this.
