@PSPztilb Why is this guy downvoted? The "you never see people like this anymore" comment is becoming less and less true every day thanks to the rise of indie games, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I concur.

I have a ridiculous backlog of games, so I wasn't planning on picking it up for a while, but after hearing this I'm going to go home tonight and purchase Bastion on Steam, assuming it's full price. if It's on sale, I'll wait until it's off sale.

I LOVE this kind of stuff.

You can kiss this kind of customer service out the window once Supergiant gets bought out by a corporate giant...

Big Companies aren't some evil entity. They're made up of hard-working dudes, just like the smaller ones. Several big companies have showed they care about customers for a number of years. c:

I just don't see these guys signing on with a big company. When you're truly independent, all you have to do is say no. Greg especially has had run-ins with corporate red-tape at Gamespot and I doubt he'd be one to sign on with EA or Activion. Especially considering they're selling tons of copies of Bastion, finances shouldn't be a problem.

Awesome job on Supergiant's behalf. Although I think people would be surprised how many companies will do this type of thing if you simply write a heartfelt letter.

However I have to comment on his gamertag..... shagnasty........really? I mean when I hear the name shagnasty it doesn't exactly conjure up a good impression. A slang term for ... well I'm sure people can figure it out. Would you not feel a little embarrassed about it?

@Zimmy people forget how young and (in some cases) immature soldiers can be.

During my time in the service the single most common broken rule was underaged drinking. theres always many times more low ranking enlistees than anyone else, and low ranking enlistees are 18-21 by and large

a 30 year old tech sergeant with a user name shagnasty would be embarrased. for an 18 year old airman basic... thats not even strange

Really. . . of all the things wrong with this world, poor choice of online aliases is what we're going to bicker about because it isn't appropriate by our own arbitrary standards?

Please!

Yeeah. I don't see anywhere what kind of bearing an online handle should have on someone's age, or whether or not such handles are age appropriate. I guess I should speak with the 'Age Appropriation Council'.

Err yea you sure showed me. Certainly no double standards on your behalf. How silly of me to discuss something about games on a blog about games. Whatever was I thinking?

I love to see positive stories of great customer service. It's a nice reminder that not every company treats its customers like crap.

I run a small business, and I have my bad days where I want to take a foolish customers head off. But I file stuff like this away in the back of my head as a reminder of how I should act, not how I want to act sometimes.
