Rage HD adds melee combat, in-app purchases in 2.0 update

Shooting mutants? Psh, where's the challenge in that? Any Mutant Bash TV participant worth his weight in shotgun shells will tell you the true mark of great contestants is their ability to entertain the audience. Nothing makes for good programming like slicing and dicing some mutants!
Melee combat is just one of Rage HD's newest features in update 2.0. There are also two new episodes, Kraken and Aqueduct -- which players can purchase together for $.99 from the in-app store -- to play through and full iOS 5 support. And, for the best viewing experience, the app also supports HDMI out, in case you want to host your own Mutant Bash TV murder party.
Just, uh, don't tell people it's a murder party. They might get the wrong idea.

Who the hell cares about this version? I mean, even if a million people bought it, we know how people are about apps, they'll buy any old crap and never even bother to launch it once. Who was asking for support on this title update? Whether it happened or not, no one would have noticed.

@Dick Socrates You're kinda of douchey huh. Lots of people bought that game and played it so what's wrong with more content for almost nothing?

@Dick Socrates I bought the Rage app. I love its graphics and the gameplay is one of the best available on the iOS platform! This is a game i show people to see how good a game done right on iOS can look (same with IB2). I didn't by Rage on my PS3. It just seemed too much like Borderlans or Fallout for me to care about it. You care about it, and that's great. I'm not shitting on your decision to prefer the console or pc version of the game, so don't shit on my choice to play it on iOS. Most games on iOS are garbage, that means you ANGRY BIRDS, but there are a few really good games out there that shouldn't be dismissed because of the platform as a whole has a bloat of shovelware.

Fun fact about this: It was done and approved by Apple in October, but their head of Mobile was absolutely terrible and never had it put up for distribution. He was laid off.
