Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning's world seems to take its cues from Costa Rica when it comes to both ecological diversity and variety of environments. The latest trailer shows off just that as is, but we urge you to turn the volume down low and play this YouTube video in the background for the full effect.

Wow, it actually works, but in all seriousness, I liked the demo so I'm considering buying the game.

May sounds petty, but I will buy it IF it has a reverse Y axis option that the demo lacked. I just can't play it otherwise feels counter intuitive. In 2012, I can't imagine that a dev would leave the option out, but if they do, that's one less sold to me at least. Anyone else have trouble playing a third person game where up is up?

@OdessaSteppa While the PC demo never worked for me (graphics never displayed), the Xbox demo worked fine. And I was able to invert my look on the right stick as well. Is this what you're talking about?

Yeah, I also need to play with the inverted view but like the others said, the option was available on my demo.
I played on PS3, and if I remember correctly, after going to options, it wasn't on the first screen that comes up, you have to page through to the next screen to get the camera options. You cant invert the x-axis though, I don't think. They just have the generic "invert view" on/off option.
Anyway, I hope you get a chance to try it out. At least you can be pretty sure the release will have the option.

the demo was outsourced, and made from a three month old build. don't worry about the little things

I have been wanting this game since I heard about it last E3.
I had heard somewhere that the game renders all fighters in an area enviornment. This is my one concern. I want to be able to sneak up on enemies for steath kills or attack them with arrows from a far like I would in an Elder Scrolls game.. Will I not be able to do this?
I tried the demo to see if I could answer my own question but it kept freezing. I never made it out of the first area. Can anyone who played the demo answer this?

Sorry, meant to say I heard the game treats all fights as taking place in an arena.

I hear you. The game seemed OK, but the graphics, animations, and menus all felt very dated, like this was something from the 360s launch period.

As good as this game looks; EA being the publisher means they'll make one good/fantastic game (as it seems to be heading now) and then sell-out and release a piss sequel. And honestly I don't want to have yet another series I started and was hoping for goods things to continue get butchered and make me put it down again. There's too many other good developer/publisher combos out there that can make proper sequels.
