Epic win. I used to play their games when I was a child.

If Spry Fox's claims are accurate, that's a pretty despicable low for 6Waves LOLAPPS. Some of the "inspired" games out there are treading a fine legal/creative line, but this sounds about as close to a blatant copy as one can get.

Good for Spry Fox for standing up for itself and its employees!

If LOLAPPS only copied the design, it wouldn't be too bad, and Spry Fox would probably have no chance in court.

The real issue is that LOLAPPS had access to Spry Fox's private assets and used them to develop their own game, despite the fact they signed an NDA that prevented them from doing so. They had an contractual agreement and intentionally chose not to respect it. That's like shoplifting right in front of a visible surveillance camera.

This is mobile games in a nutshell.

I saw iOS knockoff and assumed this would be about Zynga getting sued again. Way to disappoint me.

Go Spry Fox! Triple Town is actually a cool, well-made little game, and they deserve everything that comes with making a solid product.

That is incredibly sleazy. No way I'd ever buy one of their apps. Although their name would have made me really hesitant to begin with.

Finally. A small developer with guts to protect their creativity. When I look at the market in search of apps, I see the painful recreations of other peoples' designs, oftentimes of lesser quality. Apple and Google need to do a little more to enforce a developers' creativity.

Wait, what? It's on iOS only (and Facebook, but not out yet), what do you mean "best verIsion"?
You really need to improve on your trolling tactics.

I looooooove Triple Town, just wish the devs weren't so greedy... (Seriously? You have to pay for TURNS in a Match-3? Although I did pick up the unlimited on sale the other day.) Good for them for standing up to LOLAPPS, someone who I'll never buy apps from.

@KGameLover1

How is that greedy? They are a *business* that makes games for a living, not a charity. They released the base game for FREE. Of course they are going to have you pay for extra stuff so that they can afford to pay themselves.

The fact that you paid for unlimited turns is a testament on how great of a game it is. I bought it for my wife and she hasn't stopped playing the game for the past few days. Best $4.00 I have ever spent.

"As part of their negotiations, Spry Fox had given 6Waves months of private access to Triple Town during its closed beta test. "It's bad enough to rip off another company. To do so while you are pumping them for private information (first, our game design ideas, and later, after the game was launched on Facebook, our private revenue and retention numbers) is profoundly unethical by any measure.""

Wait... wasn't this how Windows was born?
