It's no secret Nintendo could really use a Zelda sequel that recaptures the passions of fallen fans young and old. This fan made trailer for the nonexistent Zelda: The Lost Oracle takes Toon Link and inflames the hopes of what's possible for the franchise in HD on Wii U.

I think it's time to re-play WW once more.

Yeah, I kind of wish I'd held onto a system that would play it. Then again, I've got plenty of other Zeldas on my 3DS to last me until I can play it again.

Try it in HD and widescreen on a PC with Dolphin. It's amazing how ahead of its time this game is, considering the system it was released on.

Cuz as we all know, animation translates perfectly into a user controlled videogame experience, and vice versa.

As a fan film this is amazing.
If Nintendo pumped this out I'd be vomiting.

That was totally awesome! I'd love for this to be a film, but I'd even settle for an animated series in this style! Nintendo really should make a Zelda animated movie!

Its about time they took another stab at a cartoon show. In this style, with the right script, it would be amazing.

If ever I wanted to play a Zelda game I WOULD WANT IT TO BE A FREAKIN' SIDESCROLLER!!! Holy crap, yes! i wish this game was real.
That's one thing I really gotta hand to Nintendo. They, unlike other companies, have continued to make sidescrollers.
I'm not sure if I'm gonna get Wii-U yet (I have a wii that I don't really use, except for the occasional DDR), I'll probably make up my mind in June (E3). But I do very much miss Mario and I really hope to see great things for this console.

I would watch this movie but I fail to see how to play a game like this.

This was a pretty awesome animation. If it could be translated into a game that played as fluid as this looks, fans would rejoice and the Wii-U would sell in droves (it probably will anyway but still...). Toon Link looked pretty amazing.

Look like it would play a lot like the CD-I zwlda's

I like the art style for a game (I liked it when it was called Wind Waker), and certainly you could do it up with more awesome on a more powerful system; but the scenes here that looks most like gameplay would not make a very Zelda-like game. I want to see an open world map and running around and such. This looked more like cutscenes.
Still, though, as a video to pitch a concept, good on them, and I hope that Zelda games continue to be made... but maybe with less Fi-interrupts.

"Zelda: The Lost Oracle..."
Me: :O
"...fan film."
Me: Oh. Lol.
The film was amazing, but god damn I'm wondering what the next Zelda will be, even the original 3DS one they talked about pllanning, even if that news is too early right now. Hopefully it'll leave a better taste than Skyward Sword.

Eh, I don't like the way Link looks. It doesn't have that "Japanese flair" to it.

FAKE AND... awesome! :D
Dang it, for months and months I can think about nothing but a realistic Zelda on Wii U, and now this comes along and gets me thinking otherwise. Can we just get, like, a new Zelda game every month or something, please?
