The latest patch has been applied to the wide open world of Skyrim on Xbox 360. The 1.4 update -- out on PC since last week -- squashes some bugs and fixes issues with a number of quests. You can find a full list of fixes and changes right here.
Bethesda is still awaiting word from Sony regarding the PS3 patch. It will hopefully go live today as well.

Too late for me, I traded in my PS3 Skyrim weeks ago while I could still get money for it. KOA:R has me entertained right now through, with better graphics.

@OGC Well I upvoted you. It's unbelievable how Beth screwed its PS3 fans. The game is out since November and the lag fix (which may or may not work) is coming out in February? I don't think that many people care at this point; not me that's for sure.

It would've been nice had the list of bug fixes was mirrored here, as my access to gaming websites is blocked at the office, except for the handful of backdoor links thanks to joystiq's use of subdomain names, etc.
But I'll live. I haven't played Skyrim since December.

I hope they fixed the quest "Repairing the Phial".
I wasted so much time trying to figure out how to get the game to recognize I actually DID acquire a Forsworn briarheart.

• In “The White Phial”, the phial can no longer disappear if player leaves dungeon without taking it
• “The White Phial” will now start properly if player already has a briar heart in their inventory
• “Repairing the Phial” will start properly if player already has unmelting snow or mammoth tusk in their inventory

That specific quest fix is in the patch. I remember reading the patch notes a little while ago and made sure they had that in there. I finished a different side quest to complete my 10. I was too impatient to wait for the patch.

I'm playing the 360 version, and I hit a bug where I lost 70 hours of my life that could have been spent bettering myself or bonding with my family. Does this patch address that?
Posted: Feb 9th 2012 11:31AM beachfront said
@copa I think that is something that YOU will need to address my friend.

Good. 21 hours into it on PS3, and I'm really starting to see the slowdown that people have been complaining about. Hopefully this solves that!

Finally!!! Maybe I can start playing this again.

Playing on the 360 I really haven't encountered many bugs, especially not any quest or game breaking ones.

I haven't with the ps3 either. I did see one dragon flying backward most hilarious thing ever. But that was at about my 164 hour of play and i was on a marathon of 7 hours of straight play time. Most epic 7 hours of my life.

ZOMG! I was just b-tchin about when MS gods would approve the 1.4 for consoles. I won't know till later if it fixed my quest concerns... Thanks youse guys!

Oh good. Now who should I submit the next bug report to? I think my list is just as long as what they fixed in 1.4.

Fail reply, also considering there are no dragons, orcs, frost trolls, wisps, etc, etc... outside of someones home... that argument makes little sense. ALSO implying you know the type of environment, the person you were replying to, lives in... which i highly doubt that you do.

I'll need to give it a try to see if I'll finally be able to finish the Thieves Guild and Companions quest lines though I'll probably be lousy at it now that I haven't touched the game in weeks.

Just left Black reach through some lift, and no matter what I do or where I go, it keeps teleporting me to the lift. I was about to complete battle for Whiterun and 'whoosh' back to lift. No mentioning that in update.

Damnit. I still can't start Blood on the Ice. I guess it only fixes that one for new characters?

Does it fix some stuck quest items like for the Hermaeus Mora quest? I know they weigh nothing but that Attunement Sphere is a giant eyesore in my inventory.

I havent even played Skyrim on my ps3 because of all these bugs that's been reported. GOTY version will have that all sorted out :). Unless they create even more bugs with their "expansive" DLC :(

The full list of what was patched is at http://forums.bethsoft.com/ and then travel to the interneal part of the correct forum (sorry no fast travel this time).
BUT the patch fixed basically nothing for me! I still have a particular book, flute, drum etc and my flask is still broken. The only thing that changed for me was some blood tidied out of a particular room. By the time they fully fix this game it better come with some free DLC:(

Bethesda only cares about the xbox as just with most games MS throws money at them so they make sure to do the best game for that console and screw the PC and PS3 just like always.
The error was with programming but they don't care about the PS3 as MS throws money at them like all the other companies as it feels rather then invest the money in a good first party developer let's just throw money like water to everyone!!
Bethesda has lost me as a customer as they really don't care about the PS3 as it shows in past games like Fallout and how some of the content never came to the PS3!
Remember the king of the hill always falls and one day MS will NOT be the king of the hill and it could be the PC or Sony again and Sony and PC and their fans will remember their treatment!!

@lazerbyte PS3 patch is live now. A little pre-mature to complain. Also, it makes sense to take care of the people who are paying you more, makes sense doesn't it? The patches being within 24 hours of each other seems pretty fair to me still.
I'd bet a dollar this is far from the last Bethesda product you will buy if you have Fallout 3 already and this game. I guarantee you will still buy the DLC for this game! You'd be silly not to, denying yourself of awesome gaming experience!
I'm sure I'd be a little more mad if I didn't just get home from work though, and waiting for the Skyrim patch to drop all day,

The patch is out, but it has made the loading screens take twice as long AND I have already had one system freeze. Seems they may have more work to do....
