I wonder how many people are getting DLC at this point and still need respect bonuses? I hit the level cap a while ago...

Infinite ammo and no reloads is a wonderful thing!
As is unlimited farts in jars with no bullet damage...

This would've been fun to have while I was going through the campaign.

Well I was going through the campaign for a while. I just platinumed the game a week before TM came out and finished the campaign a week before that.

Plus to wildly assume something like that from a single comment without all the information is a fine way to make an ass of your self.

Given the context I had - none, it was fairly expected that I'd make an arse of myself. Don't think of it as a personal attack, I just think given the right context, it seemed like you wanted day-one DLC, and anybody who wants that deserves to be mocked and abused. I would apologise, but I've already made an arse of myself, might as well (t)roll with it.

Ignorance about how the game industry works is what allows companies to screw you over. Assuming everything is a cash grab and trolling the Internets about it only proves to game companies that Consumers are idiots that can be easily fooled.
For example, a lot of Day One DLC is the result of the large gap better finishing a game and the release of said game. In our current crappy financial environment, people that make made the actually game sometimes get laid off simply because there is no game to work on. If they don't start up on a new project (say, DLC?) they're in danger of becoming unemployed.
But yeah, there are still Day One DLC's that are just shameless cash grabs. However, if you can't tell the difference and tell everyone, you're hurting the game industry just as much as the Sheep that eat the stuff up.

Day one DLC is still makes it look like a cash grab. Consicering the first day people are still trying to get to grips with the game. Offering DLC before the thing hits shelves is just begging for this type of response. It's become harder and harder these days to tell the difference between the cash grab content they left out for Day one DLC and what honestly was completed after the game was finished and shipped, to the point where if they want to stop all this negativity they should simply wait (and personally I prefer that). The case with this pack is moot since it's long past the release of the core game, which is why the comment generates hate and down votes, but you know there'll be another game that that will do this sooner or later and that one may actually be justified.
I prefer DLC coming AFTER the game to extend it's life beyond the completion of the on disk content, it keeps companies from having to deal with as many 2nd hand games because people would be willing to hold on to the disc longer if they saw new content being released after they've finished it. It's like buying extra episodes of a TV show after the season has ended, and that makes sense for longevity, but having it before just feels like excess.

Didn't even know this was on the way, didn't Gangstas in Space just come out? Is their more DLC coming?

@CarmineSaved A list that leaked a few months before release contained every pack of DLC released so far, plus a few more packs that have yet to be released. Besides Bloodsucker (and Trouble with Clones, which wasn't included in the list), there are about 3 more.
Given that they'll likely be out within the next month or so, that leaves Volition with over half a year left in their whole "40 Weeks of DLC" window they kept referring to in their pre-launch marketing, so given their financial troubles, I'm sure they'll be announcing some brand-new DLC in the near future.

I have question for those who play/ed the game. How would a DLC like that work? I mean, is it like a mission you take and your guy becomes a vampire and then goes through a bunch of missions and then like cures himself? Is there maybe a choice, can you stay a vampire and keep doing the main campaign? Or is this completely separate from main campaign and you kinda access it from the main menu (a la DX:HR Missing Link for those familiar) and play with a completely different character?
Posted: Feb 25th 2012 3:46AM (Unverified) said
@2late2die Basically, as soon as you install this you get the four bonuses mentioned as well as, from that point on, killing someone you've grabbed will cause you to bite them and regain a little health instead of snapping their neck. In other words, this DLC will not include any missions or achievements.

I'd rather see some movement based stat boosts than respect earnings boosts. But maybe that's built in to it.

Can we please get a dlc for the Decker specialist outfit? The outfit you get from the assassinations is cool...in fact I think the Deckers have the coolest looking gear and vehicles. I just want a specialist outfit for my female character.

Pc pirates already had this, and almost every other dlc since day 1.

@Joom Can I see a video of that? Considering it was just announced. I'm curious.

@darkhellmutt No video, but I can vouch for this. Using the original Skidrow crack unlocks an insane amount of DLC, including the execution, clothing, and vehicles from this. It was so imbalancing starting out that someone had to modify the .exe to not tick the perks as active while retaining the clothing options.
Some of the DLC on the disc includes this, the Zimos Style pack, the pack that included the Warrior Princess outfit, and weapons like the squid launcher and shark-o-matic. I'm sure there were more, sadly.

Big fan of the game but not of the sad content they jeep unlocking that can't be refunded if you bought into the season pass. I was tempted to get the pass, but releases like this make me happy I held off. If I end up getting any thing they release at this point it would still end up cheaper than the pass for me.
How could they proudly release this after witnessing DLC from competitors like the kind released for Infamous 2!? Look at all the content you get there complete with missions, then look at this sad trailer for DLC using already available clothing and face paint from the game (for the bloody mouth) to only sell us a button click for an animation of a neck bite and some bonus' on stats already possibly maxed and null and void for anyone who has logged even but a day in the game. This was a wasted opportunity and they dropped the ball to make a big sell here. They could have included at the least a mission involving Vampires at that useless Goth Church in the city or perhaps additional clothing and Vampire like weapons if they wanted to be less lame.
Big fan of the series since game one but the DLC has yet to entice me.
