PSA: Modern Warfare 3 Elite DLC starts today on PS3

The Call of Duty Elite "Content Season" begins for PS3 owners today, with the release of the "Piazza" and "Liberation" maps for Modern Warfare 3. You'll be able to download the maps today whenever the PlayStation Store updates.

For more information about the maps, you can consult the trailer above. Or, you know, ask anyone with an Xbox 360.

This is still such BS. At least discount the PS3 membership $5 for getting everything a month later. Oh wait, this is Activision we're talking about.

Why? I'm a ps3 elite subscriber & I don't feel like they owe me $5 less. Know why? Cause I, like many others knew what the deal was before I bought it. If I did not like the deal, I wouldn't have bought it. No sense of entitlement here.

I'm an Xbox user and I agree with you. Elite users should get the content early and on the same day regardless of platform. The map packs for non-elite players can come out a month apart, but Elite subscribers deserve their content evenly. (I'm an Elite subscriber on Xbox)

Yeah, but there would be a much smaller pool of opponents when you play the new maps.

Okay, I like the fact they have Rob Wriggle doing the ads. At least instead of some testosterone laden freak or a "Gamer Chick" (not saying they don't exist but more often than not the people used in the ads seldom are one of the few exceptions being Aisha Taylor) Rob is a former Marine and could in fact kill many of us posting here with his bare hands. So that's one good thing about this but is it just me or did those maps look almost identical to the BF3 launch maps? The park in the "liberation" mode had stretches that looked just like the Battlefield 3. Any how just my thoughts, I could be imagining it (this is not a BF vs CoD thing, just a map rip off thing frankly I don't like either that much but they both have their individual charms.)
