Trials Evolution date spotted on Xbox.com, backflips out of sight

Trials Evolution, the next installment in the addictive time-trial franchise from developer RedLynx, may be coming to the Xbox Live Arcade on April 18, if an Xbox Live Marketplace listing is to be believed.

Discovered by the folks at Eurogamer, the listing for Trials Evolution (now pulled, but captured above) originally listed the April release before disintegrating into nothingness -- like our chances of reaching the top of the Trials HD leaderboards. As the leaked date falls on a Wednesday, it would follow Microsoft's typical release schedule for the Xbox Live Arcade.

Joystiq has contacted Ubisoft, parent company of the Finnish developer, to find out if they're ready to spill the beans on a release date. We just can't wait to scream at our televisions for fudging up our balance ... again and again.

Trials 2 and Trials HD on the other hand, AMAZING!

@TylerDurden1027 WRONG. The Trials HD was amazing. Trials 2 is also really amazing on PC. Trials Evolution is set to smash all that, cant wait!

Oh well, it's pretty common practice to abandon your entire fanbase these days. Why should redlynx be any different?

Because the 2 million+ people who have bought Trials HD clearly aren't part of RedLynxs' fan base, therefore RedLynx shouldn't spend their time developing another game that a lot of those people will buy again.

Don't really think I tried to discourage anyone from buying it.Simply said it was overrated.My opinion just like I have the opinion you guys are total douchebags. Doesn't mean you are, just that you act like it.

I am so looking forward to this. The first one is easily one of the best downloadable arcade titles.

Trials HD was a great game. It's replay value was off the charts and it was a $15 arcade game. The amount of time I've spent riding and improving my times easily trumps that of most retail games that I've played. The release date for Evo can't come soon enough.

Ubisoft isn't publishing Trials Evolution, so they probably don't know a date either. Microsoft is publishing Trials Evolution. You should contact them.
