The annual industry-focused trade show. DICE, kicked off last night with a keynote from Bethesda Game Studios' Todd Howard, but he's not the only industry veteran at the conference with insight into the inner workings of game development and publishing.

It's a casual, four-day weekend sort of Joystiq Show this week. Now Playing has Richard, Justin and Griffin talking about two games with sword-centric gameplay, Infinity Blade II and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. You heard it here first: If you like Infinity Blade, you will probably like Infinity Blade II. As for Zelda, it is a rare accomplishment that a game with so much "mind-numbing" fluff can be so good.

The second, and last segment, is all about you. It's the first edition of the Mailbag on The Joystiq Show, and Chris joins Richard in answering a slew of questions. If you want in on the action, drop us a line or give us a call at 1-(877)-JOYSTIQ.

We are at the very back end of the holiday releases, but there are still a few games to hit. Three games this week, Assassin's Creed: Revelations, Super Mario 3D Land, and Saints Row: The Third, more than held their own in the reviews, but the last two are the big winners here --and the two couldn't be more different in their individual greatness.

The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection has brought Solid Snake, some white-haired guy, and a whole slew of villains with crazy names into the modern era, and Chris, along with Ludwig and JC, take this opportunity to revisit the majesty that is the MGS series.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception has already shared the limelight with other games in a previous Now Playing, but this week it gets its own segment. Chris, Ludwig and Griffin aren't pulling any punches in spoiler town so, if you haven't finished Drake's latest adventure, this might be a segment to come back to.

Big games are still hitting shelves, and at least one member of this episode's Now Playing segment would argue that one of them is a hurdle to marriage - see what you've done Todd Howard? It's not all Justin pouring love on The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim though, Griffin has a few things to say about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and Richard has some kind words for Rayman Origins.

In Part 2 Richard chats with Jamie Dillion, Project Manager at Child's Play. If you are not familiar with this Penny Arcade-founded charity for children's hospitals, you may just be a bad person, but here's where you can turn it all around.

This week's show final segment continues the philanthropic trend with an interview with LoadingReadyRun's Graham Stark, Paul Saunders, and Kathleen De Vere about their annual masochistic charity drive, Desert Bus for Hope.

It's a game explosion this week and you better get used to it, because the season only gets crazier from here. Up first, Richard, Ludwig and Griffin share their experiences with Lord of the Rings: War in the North, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, and Sonic Generations. Guess which one of these games features the protagonist kissing a human woman.

Battlefield 3 takes the hot seat this week with some tough love. Arthur joins in to explain why a game with so many issues deserves the score he gave it. Alexander and Ben also get in on the multiplayer love-fest.

And Spoiled Rotten is back. Chris assembled his own team of villains to discuss the ins-and-outs of Batman: Arkham City. But beware, you're about to get punched with spoilers.
