Sony and Sega spinoff Hitmaker (Crazy Taxi 2, Tennis 2K2) will be launching Blade Dancer for the PSP on March 2 in Japan. There are few details on this new RPG, other than it will have networking capabilities and cute Square Enix-style graphics. Sony has launched the official web site for the game and will hopefully add more content soon.

I think an RPG on the PSP would be a good idea. Even though I do not own one anymore.
Fanboys seem to be losing, I love it.

Preferably something along the lines of Fable, Jade Empire, or the Knights of the Old Republic series.
Hell at this point I'd settle for an honest adventure game like a rehashed graphical version of Zork.

Square Enix is currently making Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core for PSP. It's an exclusive title.
Hopefully it will be here very soon!
PSP is certainly having some good RPG titles! Tales of Eternia, PoPoloCrois...etc. It would be perfect if they can get a Lunar or Grandia from GameArts
