Colonel Volgin

He's not a Big Boss clone, but he'll do as the big baddie. Colonel Volgin is a greedy and heartless man, with little care for the consequences of his actions. Decidedly hands-on in his violent approaches, Volgin isn't above physical brutality and torture, not even when his target is a woman. The Shagohod project -- an early Metal Gear prototype -- is born from his desire for power and his immense personal wealth. Attempting to get your hands on it is a good way to make him lay his electrically charged hands on you.

Special abilities: Volgin is capable of emitting and absorbing burst of electricity. One of his favorite tactics is to lay charged punches, with a row of bullets slipped in-between his folded fingers.

Weaknesses: His body doesn't agree with water at all. More importantly, when he loses his electrical charge, he's highly susceptible to close-quarters attacks and throws. Put him on his back before he can recharge.

Trivia: For all his unflinching cruelty, it's strongly implied that Volgin might have feelings -- and a thing for cheeky Raiden lookalike, Major Raikov.
