Melancholy soldier and all-around tough cookie, Fortune thinks herself cursed with the inability to die. While most people would use the uncanny power to deflect bullets as a means to secure victory in any paintball match, all she does is mope and descend into self-pitying soliloquy. The only thing that compels her to shoot back is a desire for revenge -- she believes Snake is responsible for the death of her father.

Special abilities: Fortune wields an enormous cannon and is protected from bullets by, as she later discovers, an electromagnetic device. With hot pieces of lead changing course and whizzing past, you probably don't want to be standing right next to her.

Weaknesses: Without the electromagnetic shield, Fortune is vulnerable to gunfire. After miraculously protecting Snake and the gang from a rain of missiles, she is shot by Ocelot.

Trivia: In the fight against Fortune, players don't need to fire a single shot. Surviving long enough is the only way to win.
