Sniper Wolf

Okay, "Sniper Wolf." Do you get the pattern yet? She's a sniper with a thing for wolves. Capable of lying in wait for her prey days on end, Ms. Wolf can place a bullet between your eyes before you've even spotted the glint of her scope. The first thing she inflicts upon Snake is a fetch quest, however, using his companion Meryl as bait while he traipses all the way back to the armory to get a proper weapon. Later, Snake manages to dish out long-distance defeat in a second sniper standoff.

Special abilities: Precision aim and loads of patience.

Weaknesses: Counter-sniping and, if you're cheap, remote-controlled Nikita missiles.

Trivia: Thanks to Otacon's bizarre case of Stockholm Syndrome, Wolf's death gives rise to one of Metal Gear's most earnest and clumsiest questions: "Can love bloom on the battlefield?"
