Vulcan Raven

A brutish shaman with a flair for the dramatic, Vulcan Raven battles Snake on Shadow Moses island twice. Though he considers Snake a worthy opponent and goes on about honor and all that jazz, he's not one for a fair fight, attempting to smush Snake with a tank and then a rather large (you guessed it!) Vulcan cannon. After suffering defeat in a chilly warehouse, Raven vows to always keep an eye (and the eyes of his ravens) on our slithery hero.

Special abilities: He shows proficiency in operating tanks and carrying really huge guns. He also holds some sort of influence over ravens, though given their attack on him after he dies, it could just be attributed to some shiny objects in his pockets.

Weaknesses: Grenades, claymore mines and C4. The guy just doesn't watch where he's walking.

Trivia: Vulcan Raven does indeed return to watch over Snake in Metal Gear Solid 2 -- in the form of a tiny action figure that casts a big shadow.
