Makes me laugh to see all you yanks complaining about having to wait for demos/games... try living in Europe, we've been getting things long after everyone else since before most of you were born! ;)

Anyway, it's a Jap focused game, so marketing will be focused on the Jap market just now - they really need to build up a user base over the holiday period. and don't forget the translation issues that have already been mentioned.

As syco points out, they don't say that the stats are wrong, just mis-interpretered, so would suggest that the Inquirers source is correct, even if they do draw the wrong conclusions from it.

At the end of the day, I don't really see how those kind of technical details should really affect whether people should buy the PS3. for all I care it could have a 8Kb memory bandwidth... but if the games look good and play good then people will no doubt want one anyway.

Badbob is right in my opinion, was thinking the same thing myself. Sony had many revisions of the PS2, so same will apply to PS3. Didn't Sony get the orginal PS down to one or two chips from the original collection?

Few chips = cheaper to make.

Possible that they mean Black is the last original game aiming big on the PS2.
The other games mentioned the comments are all sequels, not new games/names, so might not be getting counted.

Of course, they could just be jumping the gun on their announcement, with so long to PS3 launch there is plenty of time for a stunning new game to appear on PS2.
