Land of the Free: Americans pay least for a new Rolls-Royce

Apr 30th 2007 3:50PM (Autoblog)
I don't get why this is so interesting to find out. The United States and Japan are the two cheapest countries in the world to buy imported cars, because there are very little taxes and import tariffs on vehicles. In the Eurozone, you are paying upwards of 20% tax, among other things.

The rule is that if a vehicle has a flat loading floor, it is a truck. Chrysler didn't play any tricks. The PT Cruiser is a truck because it has a flat loading floor. Simple as that. The Dodge Magnum is also classified as a truck, as is the Chevrolet HHR. Chrysler isn't playing a trick. The US government has rules for trucks, and the PT Cruiser meets them.

Why Ford's Flex dropped the sliding doors

Apr 10th 2007 4:25PM (Autoblog)
What a pathetic excuse. "Because we dropped sliding doors, we were able to offer features that every other minivan on the market offers." Haha.

Don't get me wrong, the Flex is a great car (sans the stupid name) and, IMO, a real winner, but why is Ford trying to make excuses?

Mercedes expects diesels to account for 10-percent of US market

Mercedes already sells GL 320, ML 320, and R 320 CDI vehicles in the US. Another incorrect article from Autoblog...

New York Preview: 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX sedan

Apr 2nd 2007 3:34PM (Autoblog)
Good job Subaru...introducing the Subaru Corolla WRX sedan and the Subaru3 hatchback, with a front-end courtesy of the new Chrysler Sebring.

I usually think people over-exaggerate how much one car copies another, but not in this case. Terrible job, not because the car is ugly (it isn't), but it is unoriginal and bland.
