Did the acceleration and braking have an analog or digital feel to it? Can it precisely check how far forward you foot is such that you can go very slowly or very quickly? How well does it gradate the degrees between a complete stop and full-throttle? It seems very promising, but personally Sony's solution seems the best to me - a best of 'both worlds' approach. Sony already has controller-less motion sensing with eye-toy and adds a little more precision and possibilities with buttons and multiple wands in combination with gestures.
The headline is misleading. It's a classic arcade title. Sure the game was on NES, however it's not as if Microsoft managed a coup to steal (snag) the title from Nintendo, as the headline implies.
