better access to high demand released IE sold out games
early launches for fully leaked retail games, knowing a pirate is playing the game you've been waiting for forever a solid week before retail release is a kick in the groin
regional releases, like the early release, wanting to play something not available to you
rewards for being a committed consumer, IE club nintendo
not having to deal with EB, there are people that would rather not deal with them
less yearly franchises, why buy 09 when it's just 08 with a roster update
