GameStop predicts EndWar, Broken Sword

Oct 16th 2007 2:54PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I was thinking about Broken Sword GBA (Shadow of the Templars) the other day. I was reminiscing about how sad it was that an otherwise quality game could be so marred by game-ending bugs (among other things, don't go to Spain before Syria or you're screwed).

Though I'm jazzed to hear that they're thinking of putting out a DS version, I hope they put it through a vigorous bug testing/fixing process - something its predecessor lacked big time.

Fresh Sim City DS screens

Do you enjoy taunting us, DS Fanboy??

Just when I think "Okay, I'm over my unreasonably strong need to have SimCity on my DS," you guys keep throwing up screenshots!

DS Lite stand video review

Feb 7th 2007 6:02PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I imported the original stand as a Christmas gift for the hubby. After using it to easily mete out justice for all with one hand and chugging back a cup of tea in the other, I would definitely buy another.

However, after seeing this review, I'd have to say that this stand looks like it'd be more usefully. Being able to flip it on its side would be fab for Hotel Dusk et. al.

WRUP: Hotel Dusk edition

Jan 26th 2007 4:52PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Just like last weekend, it'll be Phoenix Wright for me. I just finished the third case. Trilo is my hero!

Aside from that, likely I'll practice my Smooth Moves. I look entirely too silly doing the "big cheese." :D

A note on comments from DS Fanboy

Jan 25th 2007 3:17PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I thought there was something fishy going on! I even went back a page or two to see if I'd missed the announcement.

Nice new system. It was always Russian Roulette before, wondering if Yahoo would deliver the confirm-your-comment email in minutes or hours.

I miss the stars though ;)

Metareview: Hotel Dusk: Room 215

Jan 25th 2007 1:04PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Although I've been keeping my eye on the local retailers, waiting for this title to get in, my anticipation for this title went up alot after seeing this meta-review.

Huzzah that I was able to get it yesterday evening, not but half-hour after I saw this post! I haven't actually played it yet. Since I'm monopolizing JFA, the husband thought it only fair that he gets to play Hotel Dusk first :[

So far, I've been hearing things like "frickin' cool!" from his end of the couch.

WRUP: OBJECTION! edition

Jan 19th 2007 12:40PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Hands down: Justice for All. EB finally got it in. Already through the first case and getting into the second. No sleep for me this weekend; justice must be served!

And on the off-chance I need a break, then it's back to Lost in Blue. I've had it for a year now and it's my New Year's resolution to finish it!

Metareview (the web) - Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Justice For All

Jan 17th 2007 3:57PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I'm surprised anyone at DS Fanboy is even around manning the posts! I imagined a complete lack of content for as long as it would take for y'all to buy Justice for All and play the crap out of it ;)

It's interesting what the reviewers are saying, but it's certainly not putting me off. If the game gives the same quality stories/twists as the original, I'll be more than happy.

*still waiting for it to ship to her local EB*

Dec 6th 2006 11:09AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Really? That's very strange. Especially because the rules say as follows:

-----------
3. Promotion Period. Promotion Period is from 12:01 A.M. Pacific Standard Time (PST), December 4, 2006 through 11:59 P.M. PST March 3, 2007 (the “Deadline”). All entries must be received by the Deadline to be eligible to win a prize.
-----------

I'm not seeing an "October" in there :)

First screens for Theme Park DS

Dec 5th 2006 6:47PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Am I the only one that's disturbed by the Slide screenshot? Apparently, the slide can only "eat" one person at a time but still "guarantees pleasure." What sort of sim is this? o_O

I've never played Theme Park on the PC. But, if it's anything like Rollercoaster Tycoon, I'll be sure to pick this one up in the spring.
