Telltale bringing Hector: Badge of Carnage to iPad, PC and Mac

Such a great game, and it came out of nowhere (for me at least). Consistently twisted and hilarious throughout; highly recommended.

@xreadmore oh NO way how did we just type the same exact thing at the same exact time?

Harmonix hit with layoffs, intended to align with 'current product development plans'

@jsx92 You're pointing out compromises that Harmonix had to made, and I think they made the right decisions. Unless they expanded the kit with a hi-hat pedal and at least one other drum, which would drive costs up significantly higher than they already are, there have to be some tough calls. It makes far more sense to me to play open hi-hat on the blue cymbal (which usually corresponds to the ride) than to just play both open and closed on the yellow. If you want to learn the basics of drums, learning to hear the difference in those sounds and to understand that there is a difference between the two is far more important.

You have to draw the line somewhere, and as someone with an Ion kit with three cymbals, I am loving the hell out of pro drums.

@Jack Kevorkian If you say so. I'm still playing it pretty regularly because -- surprise! -- it's a lot of fun.

A classic. There really hasn't been anything like it since. If you're curious and you'd like to check out an unusual adventure game that requires some actual critical thinking, $10 is a great deal.

I wanted so badly to like this game, but it was just terrible on PC. If you play it with a gamepad it's definitely got a better feel, but I still think it's so fundamentally flawed that the whole experience winds up feeling more brain-dead than relaxing.

@Billlop I agree that expert is way more fun and satisfying, but the game is definitely meant to be played on easy just as much as it is on expert. The more inclusive it can be to be people of various skill levels, the better the experience is for everyone, right?

Shitty! But at least there are some non-shitty versions out there on other platforms. At least these guys genuinely give a shit about getting their game out to as many people as possible without, um, doing a poor job of it.
