Seriously, though---you're quite wrong. The majority of Japanese voice-overs I've encountered (and I'm an anime nerd---hundreds, if not thousands of hours spent watching) has been excellent. It's the North American english voice-overs that are abominable---we seem to think there can be no subtlety in voice acting whatsoever. EVERYTHING MUST BE UBER-GENKI!!

Does anyone have any information on whether or not there will be English subtitles for this release? I've read that both Japanese and English audio will be available for the movie, but I want to be able to watch the movie in Japanese with English subs. If it doesn't, I'll just wait for the North American release, I guess.

Any word on a release date for that, also?

This is exactly why I've been waiting to buy the next-gen system...now Squeenix has made my decision for me.
