Kinect vs. our living rooms: A survey
Nov 4th 2010 10:40PM (Joystiq)1) I move my coffee table all the time without removing the crap on top
2) You don't have to buy a new coffee table to play Kinect, you just slide it forward.
3) This has got to be the most ridiculous thread of comments in Joystiq history...with this much manpower, we could've joined together to move Randy's Massive Steel and Glass Coffee Table and related junk.
Kinect vs. our living rooms: A survey
Nov 4th 2010 9:54PM (Joystiq)Perhaps - I dont have kinect and won't be getting it for a bit because of my backlog. that being said, when I do get it, I'm not gonna be trying to dance around my coffee table.
Of all the reviews on Metacritic, Our Joystiqers here have blown this the most out of proportion - perhaps this is their damage control.
Kinect vs. our living rooms: A survey
Nov 4th 2010 9:52PM (Joystiq)Actually a good recommendation for Randy, who apparently can't move relatively small objects (AKA Massive Steel Structures) 2-3 feet.
Kinect vs. our living rooms: A survey
Nov 4th 2010 9:47PM (Joystiq)Maybe I'm missing something here... did it just now hit the Joystiq staff that you may want some room when playing Kinect??
I knew after watching the first E3 videos w/ the dodgeball game that I'd be sliding my coffee table to the side when playing.
Halo: Reach co-op requires hard drive, 4GB Xbox 360 Slims have to go solo [update: MS responds]
Sep 15th 2010 9:22AM (Joystiq)Not quite sure why this is being pinned on Microsoft and not Bungie.
Slim HD size has been around for Bungie to make the necessary adjustments.

Halo Waypoint refreshed for Reach release

Agree 100% with every damn thing you said. I'm fine with trying to 'make your own Spartan' if that's what you want to do - but playing barbie dress up isn't going to make him MY character in this day and age of gaming.
We'll see tomorrow.
To Everyone else:
Yes, I understand it is a prequel to Halo:CE and 'before Master Chief's story begins'. If you were waiting for Master Chief, I just saved you a plate of disappointment when you asked yourself at the end of the game "WTF is Master Chief"??!?!?"

Bungie: We had to break through Infinity Ward 'noise' for Activision news
Apr 29th 2010 9:15PM (Joystiq)Interview: Bungie discusses Activision, its 'new universe,' and what happens to Reach
Apr 29th 2010 7:30PM (Joystiq)Halo 3 > Halo ODST > Halo 2 > Halo: CE
I'm ready for a series reboot. Given the unlimited resources Microsoft must throw at the Halo series to survive in the industry, I'm more excited than ever to see what 'Halo 5' can be.
