New Wii owners: your impressions?

Nov 20th 2006 8:30AM (Joystiq)
Yes, I am ditto'ing everyone's comments thus far, but I think the effusiveness is testament to just how amazing this system is. You can't help put smile when you roll a bowling ball and realize you've got the same damn left spin you get when bowling in real-life. Slice the tennis ball, lob it, overhand smash-- it all works.

Rayman and Zelda looking good in the few minutes I've had with them, and I know my nephews will never get tired of throwing a cow 70 meters on Rayman.

Few issues with Remote not picking up when I'm sitting low on my couch at 10 feet, but if I move closer on the couch or stand at 10 feet, it's fine.

Bottom line is-- remove all hesitation, this Wii will sell like hotcakes a deservedly so. Did you buy your Nintendo stock?? :)

Sony has the right price point, but major benefit of the Iliad is larger screen size and Wi-Fi for downloading books/newspapers and (albeit slow) web browsing (already been hacked for this -- see www.mobileread.org). Anyway, if you can handle the drawbacks (namely price and currently undercooked firmware), then it is indeed obtainable in the US right now via shipping from Irex.

So Ramuji, you can order from the Japanese Nintendo site and they'll ship to the U.S.?

The severed Ferrarri Enzo story is my top choice. Inside story with crack investigative reporting written all over it.
