250GB Xbox Kinect bundle spotted on 4GB bundle packaging

Sep 1st 2010 2:54AM (Joystiq)
@thisredengine

What's ridiculous is the fact that you claim save game files are in the 1.5gb range. Be realistic and stop exagerating.

Most saves game files are in the 1mb-20mb range. 4gb is actually more then enough to save several hundred save game files.

Ceton's quad CableCARD tuner for Windows Media Center gets a price

@savagemike

Rather then make random guesses why don't you just look it up?

Comcast provides the first CableCARD for free. Each one after that is $1.50 each.

Ceton's quad CableCARD tuner for Windows Media Center gets a price

Jan 11th 2010 7:59PM (Engadget)
@TeqPho

Those of you comparing the price of CableCARD tuners to regular QAM tuners obviously don't understand the technical differences and are therefore not qualified to critisize pricing. A regular QAM tuner does NOT allow you to receive encrypted cable broadcasts. (i.e. Showtime, HBO, Discovery HD, etc.)

The only product you can objectively compare the Ceton card to is the ATI CableCard tuner and those are $250 per tuner.

XBLA size limit no longer a problem for SF2HD

Mar 13th 2008 5:57PM (Joystiq)
Because if you don't put in a limit then developers make little to no effort to optimize their apps. The last thing anyone needs is for a single download to take up >50% of the harddrive.

It's good that MS can waive or alter the limit when actually necessary but removing the limit altogether would not be good.

Look on the box, confirm HDMI, make purchase

Aug 24th 2007 5:24PM (Joystiq Xbox)
Anyone that claims that there is no visible difference between HDMI and standard Component video need to buy better Monitors and actually try some HD content.

People who think all HDMI cables cost $60 are just idiots.

What's inside the Big Box Project?

Feb 4th 2007 4:30AM (Joystiq)
This is stupid. People who get this emotional and obsessed over a broken game console need to move out of their parent's house, get a real life and experience some real life problems.

iPhone & LG KE850: separated at birth?

Jan 15th 2007 8:56PM (Engadget)
Apple doesn't really manufacture many of their own products. LG is the outsourcer who makes the iPhone for Apple hence the reason for the similarity.

#4 Biggest News Story of 2006

Dec 28th 2006 4:46AM (old GameDaily blog)
As Moegames pointed out the Xbox 360 hardware is now making money for Microsoft. Call it another cash cow for the largest software company on the planet. Even with the $4 Billion that Microsoft lost on the original Xbox the company as a whole posted $12 billion in profit for 2006.

Sony, on the other hand, only made $281 million.

Viva Pinata takes stab at Genji jokes

>>Now that Microsoft has taken the bait and retold a seven month old joke, can we please, please, please let it go?

Samsung's SGH-I320 Q-killer

Apr 24th 2006 7:32PM (Engadget)
All those people who can't get pass the mention of Microsoft or Windows really need to get over it. The Microsoft bashing and the jokes about rebooting and blue-screen are just getting old, innappropriate, and just plain wrong. You might have had an argument back when Win95/98 were new but to continue to live by that same mentality and sterotype now just shows how naive and narrow-minded you really are.
